I've seen that effect you did with the floating stars...Not sure what you'd call them.

@riverfiretcm I've never used that programme. I downloaded the sparling effect from youtube -a lot of vidders have them up just search for "sony vegas sparkles" you're sure to find one you like :)

I looked up that MAGIX programme if your version has layers I would put the sparkles in a seperate layer over the top of the regular video if you fiddle with things like that and opacity for each layer you should be able to get it so the sparkley bits are over your video and you can see them both.

@riverfiretcm No, no, search "sony vegas sparkles" on youtube and you'll find a whole bunch of videos with sparkley effects. In the description of these videos there's usually a link where you can download the effects shown in the video.

I have a video converter that allows me to download straight from youtube: "Any Video Converter", if you google it you should be able to find a link :)
