From there, it logically follows that the universe coalesced into atoms and globules and stars and planets, and that the chemical processes of life produced us through a long consequence chain of action and reaction.

I don't believe in god but I all ways end up asking where did everything start from. Nothing can be made out of nothing there has to be something and the only answer I can come up with is god. But isn't that just cos we pin stuff we can't understand on a god. Human understanding is limited there are things we will never understand.

I never said there wasn't a god but rather I don't believe there is. It could be luck but either argument cant prove or disprove it. But we are just a spec of dust to the universe a small change like a new star forming too close could mean the end or a new beginning. I don't believe in a god but it doesn't mean there isn't one or there is I just don't have the faith to believe in it.
