That movie is full of lies and extremly subjective (while documentaries are supposed to be objective). While I agree that animals shouldn't be held captive or killed, I wouldn't naively believe everything that movie says.

@3333sweetie Not really in captivity (though orcas apparently do). But in the wild, it does happen. That's because they are very unpredictable creatures. A scuba diver once told me he was hurt pretty badly by a dolphin and would rather meet a shark while swimming in the wild (because they are more predictable), than a dolphin.

Someone else told me (who used to work with sharks), that apparently the great white is not the most dangerous shark, but the tiger shark is. Not that I'd want to swim with either of them, though:P

There have already been numerous attacks on trainers from orcas, and this one even died of it (probably heard about it). So, yeah, that makes them very unpredictable too. I haven't heard of orcas attacks in the wild, but I guess people just really don't go swimming with them either... Too big and never alone, so too dangerous, I guess. I could be wrong on this one, though...

Well, sharks bite for diverse reasons: really hungry, confuse us with actual prey, curious, etc. But since they don't like human flesh, they usually give up after that. A lot of people do shark feeding for tourists as a job. As far as I know, there is no such thing for dolphins, so I dunno. Might be true.

To compare: I've seen this vid' about an orcas that attacked this girl who was swimming with him. He first tried to keep her under water, but when she tried to get out of the tank, he grabbed her leg. She had to stay still like that until someone forced the mouth open. If she had done a wrong movement, it could have snapped her leg.
