Good man! People who rescue turtles and animals in general are tops, make the world a better place. Totally different snapping turtles from what we have in eastern North Carolina, one long tail.
Saw one in our river five years ago. Tail .5 meter at least, bigger than this one even. I bet is a female, but that's just biased.. ;-) Old matriarch.
