Westinghouse old, my father had bought a refrigerator, even before I'm was born in this world.
It was a real iron, lasted 35 years, my father loved her, did not want to detach from the refrigerator, until the engine died. Before, the artifacts, designed to last a lifetime, and the company won the prestige of the world, but it is not good business to sell an appliance every 30 years, so now everything is so disposable.
@frbe0101 never thought i would EVER be in an argument where Nuclear Reactors were compared to heroine, I'm seriously not even going to respond to that.
Seatbelts arent required to protect the rider, its because that way they dont become a projectile on impact. Hard drugs are illegal for many many reasons. You should have used Hemp fiber production. It would have been more affective
I wasn't comparing reactors to heroin I was merely pointing out the fallacy of your belief that capitalism controls all by providing an example of a product that most certainly would sell very well if capitalism was the only factor involve in our economy. But sure Hemp fiber is a fine example of forces that can override capitalism and repress a product.
@frbe0101 well saying that the fuel companies are holding off nuclear progress is like the old electric car argument. They werent successful because of battery lmiitations, very few people can manage on 15 miles range. Molten salt has its issues that i'm sure are being resolved
I guess its similar to the EV history. Investment was not made in the technology simply because it was not seen as profitable for the companies to destroy their existing infrastructure and uproot the existing fueling paradigm.
the entire nuclear industry was not created by capitalism, it is heavily subsidized. Further, the fact of the matter is that a molten salt reactor would cut into corporate profits. FACT: Many nuclear reactor builders dont make a profit on the actual reactors. They usually do it to lock in a contract for fuel fabrication, which is very profitable. Motlen salt reactors would cut into that.
Due to seismic concerns. There still not sure if it will survive a direct hit from a plane, and the 2 EPR's one in finland, then Flaminville 3 are having concrete problems with the reacter base. besides if their wasn't a problem why is it that in georga they want to build the EPR and in texas they want to build the next generation ABWR.
Details, Details, please. I work nuclear. I want to know how do you get away with 50% less valves, etc. I think they've started building these in Asia. Any US licenses yet?
Soon we will see him conquering Patagonia, from the hand of ENDESA.
Must thank the Anunnaki, Douglas Tompkins, turned green ecologist!

A molten salt fueled/cooled reactor that would be optimal.

@frbe0101 there is a reason that Molten salt reactors were given up by the US Navy.

yeah they would have cut nuclear fuel companies profits, could not have that.

@frbe0101 Consoiracy theories rarely hold up. If it's such a great idea, capitalism will prevail and it will happen.

LOL than heroine would be legal! Capitalism is not the only force that shapes the world.
