@Discipol In general my machines don't work in SMP because it is so buggy, its hit and miss with SMP sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

@xisumavoid The problem would be the sheep actually regenerating their wool by eating grass working on smp. I am quite familiar with minecraft physics and you design is quite clean and simple. If you would add buildcraft 3 you would make it 100% automated, which includes sheep shearing.

Sheering sheep for the lazy Minecrafter.

I just built this on my SMP world. The sticky piston attached to the fencegate by the water doesn't work for me. It retracts if I hit the switch but it won't push the gate back through the water again so the water is constantly moving through the center of the cell. I have to replace the fence for it to retract again manually. I downloaded your version and everything is layed out the same. Any ideas?

I've had a bit of a problem. The annotation states the cell can hold up to 6 sheep. However when I put any more then 3 inside they become murderous. Each sheep pushing the one behind it in to the water lift at the cell's back. Often holding them in until they drown. Perhaps I missed a step? Or is this an inherent problem with the cell?

The only minor issue is that grass needs a light level of 4 above it or it dies. This is mostly a problem if you build this unit underground, but night has a light level of 4, so there are two spots of grass in this design that have a chance of dying above ground. This is easily resolved by replacing some stone or glass with glowstone.

Also, you don't seem to need the bit of redstone at the very top, so your unit can be one block shorter.

I love this design and its going in my world right now!

Also, just finished recreating this unit (with about 15 more, inspired by your previous video with the every-color wool-array), and I'm quite pleased with it! I find that a second sheep occasionally clips through the glass into the shearing chamber, but its infrequent enough that I'm not bothered, and I doubt there's a better way to do it. Now, to find more cocoa beans...
