I know some people that know about cars respect rotary's but always talk about gas consup. & problems in 2 first years of production in renesis .but belive me 95 % of rx8 owners fall in love with car.rotary ride deserve every dollar you spend in your car. check "rx8 mx5 my sport cars" rx8 is the only rotary available .

I'm not a huge fan of rotaries. I think a straight-cut transmission on a road car would be a bit silly. But MY GOD would I buy this car for the design (It's so amazing to look at) and the outrageous speed (Seeing as how it's a 450HP, lightweight car built on the chassis of a LeMans P1 car).

Later these designs were submitted to various companies to be built. The Mazda Sky engine was designed eight years ago along with the 16X. I am retiring from this and writing movies/TV series/video games/books/songs/inventing ect...I wrote Back To The Future when I was seven!

@nyasa87 they missed a few details though , it misses the air intake on the roof , and the openings above the engine bay behind the roof are way to red/orange , and their not actual openings but opening textures , but apart from that it is about the best made model in the game , the sound of it is spot on in the game !

Jeremy Clarkson says that they did 260kph in six gear on the straight part of the circuit.

Right after that he said that it could easily do 180mph or 300kph. But mazda didn't gave us te precise info about the car so we'l wait for it...

Mazda is talking about creating coupes that look 'similar' to this, how ever they incorporate an ugly wheel cover like the ones seen on the AUDI R8 concept from iRobot. Hoping Mazda wises up and ditches the covers and makes it look hot like this.

It's a peripheral ported NA rotary engine. Some PP's can rev pretty high, but typically they redline around 12000rpm. A PP sounds different from the production side-port rotary, but IMO all rotaries tend to sound like F1's ;).

This car is an engineering masterpiece,

The aerodynamics on this car is pure brilliance, look at the body's curves and grooves making the air flow to all the right places. Its no wonder Mazda didnt use a big engine, because they don't need one. Having more power would make it just absolutely ballistic. All in all, a fabulous race car and I applaud the engineers at Mazda for creating such a masterpiece.
