@safaaxrp77 Shibas are also very curious, and we know of a few who are escape artists (climbing 6 foot chain link fencing!!!). They also like to hunt things, and have a very strong prey-drive, so aren't the best off-leash. They are very good companions though, and are always interested in whatever is going on at home.

What I meant was... if the dog is "yipping/yowling" because it IS sad then that isn't okay. I know the dog isn't a human.... My dog yips, barks, howls, and bounces all over the place when I come home. I know dogs do that kind of thing. Though, that dog was stressed. As if it were anticipating something, do you know what I mean? Like when you're outside talking to the neighbor and you haven't gone inside after a days outing, your dog yips for you because it wants you there. I do agree its cute.
