I believe that Obama is doing the best he can given the number of things he has to deal with. It's congress that worries me. I oppose health insurance mandates on small business, because it is killing our economy.

Here in Mass, the mandated health insurance plan is not working, and results in hospitals closing, and small business laying off workers.

The health plans themselves are nothing more than a contract one pays big bucks for that insures one will be denied the health CARE one needs down the line.

I have relatives who live under govt. health care in Europe. It's o.k. if u have a cold. But, if u have Cancer, u have to wait up to 2 yrs. for a test that could save your life. Delayed Health Care is No Health Care. Study MA. They cover everybody! Go state by state. Study HMO's They are much more efficient. But, don't flush the best health care system down the toilet--just for the sake of trying to secure power. When Europeans & Canadians are really sick, they come here!

The U.S. spends more per capita than every other industrialized nation and gets equal or worse results (other than cancer treatment where we excel). I know several canadians who have FREE health care but cant get any treatment in canada and 3 are coming to Michigan to get treatments 1 is a 24 yea rold mother of 1 who has a brain tumor and that canada considers it no big deal, However UofM considers it a BIG deal and will be helping her with medical treatment. Take it from an outsider with a very conservative government and a single-payer healthcare system: It's not the end of the world. Every system has flaws, but statistics canada released some information awhile back about waitlists, average costs, and life expectancy, and it's about 3 weeks average if you get waitlisted, NOBODY in Canada goes bankrupt for healthcare costs, I kid you not. And our average life expectancy is about four years more than americans. Check. Mate.
