  • I love this guys documentaries. The one on the history of chemistry is brilliant.

  • @BBC Song? I need the song's name.

  • @jeanely14 Its by Erik Satie is all i know.

  • @jeanely14 Found it: Gnossiennes No. 3 by Erik Satie

  • what idiots!

  • Comment removed

  • i hate how vague and abstract it is.

  • the piano piece being played is called gnossienne no. 3 - erik satie.

i play it ALL the time. :)

  • @Rioxka Thank you for that information.---Galeetah

  • 1 person cant see out of the "order" they are in..

    ..

  • american TV is dumbing down people more and more everyday, I hope this doesn't happen in UK

  • @TurkiyeCumhurbaskani It alread has happened!

  • @TurkiyeCumhurbaskani It already has! Haven't you watched the BBC news recently? In the UK though the people actually pay for their own indoctrintaion by something called the licence fee! Amazing! Hitler and Stalin would laugh themselves silly....

  • how can you dislike information????? are you backwards?????

  • whats song at 1:57?

  • ahh, the true beauty of chaos.

  • change, that's the word, but in the same: all remain the same. that's the fucked up thing about it, or not. for once in my life im interested:-)

  • in the same time i mean.

  • change, that's the word, but in the same: all remain the same. that's the fucked up thing about it, or not. for once in my life im interested:-) t

  • sigh... the story of my life, chaos, pattern, order, chaospatternorderchaospatnrodchpatochappon...

  • does anybody know how "legally" we can download vedios on youtube?

  • @latino1351

You download youtube vedios all the time,

it is saved in the temprory files so you do not retreive it.

there are free utilities on web, try them,

I use firefox so there is an add on which you can install

  • Yo dawg, I heard you like pictures

    3:18

  • Ofcourse there's productive "chaos" there's the real chaos, which is not of entropy but of people's greed and madness. That's deliberate chaos, or crimes. People shouldn't mix these meanings they are not "baby system" they are non mutualism.

  • I see the creation of dimensions. Entropy is just how you look at it, if you think that's chaos than it just means that you haven't figured out the order the entropy wants to form yet. Humans can be lazy, they want to stick to a system even when time keeps on changing.

  • @Melki Well it all has to do with our ego. We want to think we understand and have control over everything when really we don't. I've always thought there is no such thing as randomness just patterns we do not understand yet.

  • Wow I'm so surprised, shocked almost that the match began to turn into a spiral like that on the big screen. And that the smallest movement of it AMPLIFIES the activity on the screen. Wow, just wow I'm dumbfounded by this. You begin to realise that Science is a wonder, if you care to look.

  • @Mar10eleven

Science is not a wonder, it's simply a method. The wonder is creation itself, be it what is here now, or the infinite potential that it came from. But patterns are NOT the same thing as creativity. Creativity is a mental phenomenon. It should make us wonder about our origins. I think the philosophy being born out of scientific naturalism MUST be wrong, ultimately.

  • what the fuck...

  • cool.

  • it must be a cup of stfu!!!

  • possibly one of the coolest videos on youtube

  • 1) it must be sensitive to initial conditions;

    2) it must be topologically mixing; and

    3) its periodic orbits must be dense.

Nope, don't get it. I get relativity, I have a purely theoretical understanding of quantum mechanics and even M-theory, but this does not make sense, should not any given frame of reference be able to be considered an initial condition and be deterministically predictable? How can deterministic be unpredictable?

  • @dragonamt : most of the differential equations are not exactly solvable. chaos exists in their solutions.

  • The idea is not profound, the very nature of entropy can allow one to logically conclude chaos is ultimately uniform and therefore orderly. The thing I don't understand is haw a deterministic model can be unpredictable? If we have a complete model of initial conditions, it must be predictable right? Unless the theory concludes that an absolute picture of initial conditions is impossible... wait, I think I just figured it out... hmm... I'll look at some example equations...

  • @dragonamt most of the differential equations are not exactly solvable. chaos exists in their solutions.

  • @dragonamt when you figure it out please give me a call lol

  • @MrDimitri2826 oh I figured it out a while ago now. In a sense if we did truly have the exact conditions we would know the outcome, but if one really wants to get down to the nitty gritty things like relativity and the uncertainty principle prevent anyone from knowing initial conditions. The mathematics themselves are pretty easy to understand.

  • sheep

  • Chaos, order, randomness, relativity... I don't see any butterfly yet.

  • the meer wind from a fart could

    cause storms in distant regions

    of the world...

  • @thehefolomp then i am responsible for many deaths in south east asia

  • This does not disprove GOD. There is much much more than the mere act of Describing Chaos and Order in a world of relativity.

  • @serg4nyc god told me to tell you that he doesnt exist and to stop looking under the bed for him .

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan one day you shall truly know, believe me.

  • @serg4nyc how so ? what about all the other dimensions and parallel universes taht exists within all of us? is god hiding in of the dimensions ?

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan not to be rude interrupting yur argument with @serg4nyc , however, i believe science has its limits.. Speaking about the dimensions and parallel universe, for NOW, theoretical physicist believe that the parallel universe is caused by Branes clashing into each other causing big bangs. Now, based on yur opinion and understanding, may i know how did the brane come into existance?

i believe that god exist! but in a very distinctive, minute yet gigantic manner.

  • @xmangosaintx dude see your minds all messed up in terms of god . you see him as a giant person with a beard and white rob smoking joints on a chariot on pluto. science has it limits but only until the next generation of fresh minds can solve it frm a different perspective. god is just faith i believe in faith not god. what you mean by branes clashing? and i feel that dimensions aren't made but in fact have always been there and we are stuck in the 3rd dimension

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan watch this video part 1 and part 2

    /watch?v=1I0MaTaIS44&feature=channel

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan LOL by using ad hominem yur never gonna go far with yur argument...DUDE!1st,do go research on other theories, such as:String Theory (theory of everything)..and do also READ other's argument b4 counter arguing..i did say i do believe in god's existence, not a giant person with a beard(i have no idea where the eff yu got that from)

alrite, since yur using fallacies:I would only agree with yur argument if yu could somehow prove to me what made big bang happened(valid research paper)

  • @xmangosaintx I know about string theory and quantum mechanics thats why i dont believe in god because im not into faith i want somethingthat i can grasp. and god isn't real man do you see all the suffering that goes in countries other than ours? that suffering is caused by the ruling people on the everyday people just like thousands of years ago and thousands of years from now. but hey watch the video i mentioned you will really like it . just watched it and wanted to refer it =]

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan nice! now at least we are getting to a good argument.in yur premise yu stated that, god isnt real, and if so why are there suffering(true?)

well, lets take an analogy for an example,

"Darkness is the absence of light, ..." (Osho, n.d.)

if there are light all the time,we would not realise darkness(agree?),

thus,if there are no suffering,we would not learn to appreciate what is happiness..(However,i believe this balance and not god. I just believe that god gave life to science)

  • @xmangosaintx im taking a world religions class right now and it has opened my mind so much more in the terms of faith and religions. eastern religions like buddhism, hinduism, jainism, sihkism, all have great ideals in their religion but they dont worship a god it is mostly about the internal struggle of the person to do right and make the proper moral decisions. and what you are talking about in terms of "darkness is the ...." its just YING AND YANG! their the perfect balance in the cosmos

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan erm, i think buddhism, hinduism, and sihkism has god. Just to name a few, God brahma for hinduism, and Wahiguru for sihkism.. and yes they do believe that god created the universe around us.. (sadly i quite disagree, because my stand is, God created the initial state b4 the big bang).. and yu mentioned about the Ying and Yang, which is derived from the Taoist believes. I now stand to believe in the Taoism because it is about energy flow around living and non-living objects.

  • @xmangosaintx my comment is misleading. at although they have gods they are not worshipped as the all knowing ruler of the universe . in those religions they are more dieties and spirits that people need to please in order to keep things going well and prevent disasters. and they dont believe that god created it. they believe that their own cultural dietie created it . and see i got a point with ying and yang. thats why u should live towards that "energy/oneness with universe" instead of "GOD =]

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan dude, i am a hindu/buddist/catholic myself.. (LOL! mix-marriages..) and yes hinduism believe that god created the universe and us. However buddhism is mostly about doing right to others.

  • @xmangosaintx after taking my world religions class i would want to become a buddhist preferebally a theravada or mahayana i always get them confused . your lucky you get introduced to such cultures. and hindus believe that a certain dieti created the universe but in the religion there is no GOD just many spirits/dieites.mini gods wouldnt you agree? and yes your right on buddhism thats why its so appealing to me

  • @xmangosaintx bet you didnt think u were gonna an educated discussion ey? hah

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan lol, it is not i who said it.. just to quote Einstein in this discussion, he maintained that, Before god we are all equally wise and equally foolish.. I shall not think of anyone more smarter than me, or dumber than me, because there are always someone smarter and someone dumber than me.

*peace* :D good talking with you

  • @xmangosaintx ya thats a good saying my take on that has always been "dont try to be the best because there will always be someone better" and you are spot on. later have a great life hopefully you can see it from my side of the court and so shall i

  • sorry the comment section doesn't allow for what i need to say with out limiting me it is kind of when math trys to explain in formulas the progress of why the math breaks up as a system tries to explain string theory in math terms it CAN NOT! BECAUSE IT WILL BREAL UP JUST AS IT BROKE UP FOR MITCHELL AT LOS ALOMOS IN THE PATTERNING MOVIES HE DID. IT IS NATURAL FOR THE

    break up to occur.

  • these events happen & the givt, knows this and took heavy advantage of me and left me nothing but attacks against me. 16 seconds ago realitiesupremebeing I have know about alot of future events 4 a large portion of my life, & I knew about 911,shuttle disaster & other events ahead of time, using a form of combinations of chaos theory, quautum machanics, & other stimuli at the dark matter levels & others, I was able 2 be at the event before it happened, at the Cern reactor and at

  • @realitiesupremebeing , You ain't seen nothing yet. It's only a matter of time ;)

  • @NAMZR160 well be brave and share it with some of us we have a right to know as long as we are alive! your share might just bring help to DESTROY THIS EVIL GOVERNMENT and replace it with a more compassionate form of government at the feredal, state, & especially the LOCAL levels ! ! ! all of us hold pices of the great puzzle in the universe about life as we ourselves know it so SHARE IT?

WHAT IS THE " YOU ANI'T SEEN NOTHING YET " ? & BE PRICIESE WHAT IS THE ETA OF THE EVENT? I KNOW MINE SO?

  • although Jim Al-Khalili is an excellent narrator and explains it in a very simple, i watched this documentary twice. Just, conclusion was really staggering, scary in a way but surely makes u think about it. BBC on its reperoire

  • BZ reaction ??

  • The BBC are the best in the world at making these types of programmes.

I'm glad we still have programming that isn't based around phone voting.

    Long live the BBC!

  • @DeathSlayer2 You have got to be joking surely?! The BBC is the UK version of State Controlled TV only paid for by the population for their own indoctrination. If you can't see how biased and how much propaganda it pumps out you should take your rose tinted specs off..................

  • @SENSIBLECHEMIST A chemist on youtube!! YAY!

  • @sinachiniforoosh Hello, I doubt I'm the only one though, there's some good stuff on here eg check out the vids by nurdrage if you haven't already.

  • @SENSIBLECHEMIST Oh, I have!

  • @SENSIBLECHEMIST propaganda in a science program? I couldn't care less if the news is biased, who got stabbed today or what bunch of idiots is running the country doesn't interest me.

  • @DeathSlayer2 Wow you're amazing aren't you! The establishment must love people like you who have no interest in what's going on around them or whether they are being governed by a bunch of fascists or communists. Presumeably this stems from your intake of BBC propaganda and sycophancy towards the BBC. Maybe you work for them? Just because you like science doesn't mean you have to like paying for your own brainwashing you know........

  • @DeathSlayer2 I was just thinking the same thing! :)

  • simulating a butterfly effect through means of a droste effect. sweet.

  • you don´t understand, you never will. no wonder, its impossible to understand if you don´t want to.

  • @ricocorsaro pardon?

  • Is this a real BBC channel? It would be nice if you could number each video in the series and if there is a playlist for the video post the link in the Description or "(more info)" section

  • I just clicked on 'BBC'

"this channel is not available in your country"

Time to put my eye patch on AGAIN

  • AARRGGGH!!....did u tried any proxy sites mate!

  • Exelente ! ; gracias ,desde argentina ...

  • Iknow that music, it's Phillip Glass!!

  • : )

  • its balance, the taoist figured it out a long time ago, just didn't have the math skill the prove it :P

  • deep.

    but cool.
