  • I thoroughly enjoyed watching (and listening to) this video! Kudos to you and your horse ;)

  • That is one *** of a beautiful horse! Great horse, love your tricks!

  • I remember Lozen - she used to be kept at Galloping Grapes when i was little (she loved carrots but wouldn't eat apples or was it the other way around) - not only would she rear on command (which was amazing) but she was a great jumper from memory - you did an amazing job on her, well done!

  • I have horses that do theses these items naturaly on their own however trying to teach to do on cue I assume would take lots of time Susan you are phenomenaol all of those popular horse trainers could take lessons from you

  • this is incredible...

  • Inspiring

  • She is so beautiful her face is gorgeous

  • good job can i have your horse whenn she or he retires

  • איזה סוס יפה

  • wow this was so cool really great to see a horse and rider who get along like this

  • welll im glad to see tat this horse knows so much.. but im just wondering why your arena is woodchips? it would be better as just grass.. and im pointing out that when it was "slow canter" you were on the wrong lead.. and i guess that is slow.. ish

  • Thank you for the suggestion. I will be putting some instructional DVD's together soon. If you subscribe I will let you know once the first one is completed.

That was the first time I had performed the lying down from the saddle trick, so I was a bit more concerned about not having my legs crushed by her if she decided to roll, to think of the stirrup, so thanks for pointing that out, as I wan't the experience to be as comfortable and as positive as possible for my horses. :)

  • Brilliant, can you tel us how you managed to do these or are they tricks of the trade hahah, just a pointer though when you make your horse lie down (which is absolutley fantastic!!) swing your leg up and over the saddle like you would to do your girth as the western trick horse men where trained so they don't fall on a stirrup ? xxx

  • Wow! She's so cute!

  • not trying to hate, just constructive critism (: cause i think all your tricks and different paces were amazing, and i understand it happens sometimes... but check your lead! its a pet peve of mine. lol and a lead change trick might be a good thing too. it seemed as though you didnt realize Lozen was cross cantering. but regardless amazing work! i wish i could teach my horse these tricks. she just looks at me like... "you want me to do what!?!?!" lol BEAUTIFUL! (:

  • WHat a BEAUTY !!!

  • I'm not trying to demonstrate "true" dressage, I'm just enjoying my horse.

  • it is gorgeous, but all it is, is a little circus tricks mixed with 'true' dressage (spanish) excellent progress though.. :)

  • TOTALLY AWESOME JOB!!!

  • That is such a pretty horse!!! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • amazing horse!:)

    good work!:)

  • what a horse!!!! I love it

  • isnt it a bit dangerous to have bits of wood sticking up at the horse at 0:48 while your rearing??

  • @molly54ful its part of the menage floor

  • @molly54ful Its wood chips. Alot of dressage riders use wood chips mixed in with sand sense its more bouncy and not as hard on horses joints and when you fall you dont land as hard.

  • I think thats awesome work there!! Keep it up I'd wish you could show my horse that stuff!:)

  • Good looking tricks, except the lead change

  • that is reallly amazing!!..... and the horse is sooooooooo pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • check out bianca and skippy

  • how did you train your horse to do that? shes absolutely stunning!!! love the blue eyes <3

  • i love it!!! you did it all by youself!??

  • horrible spanish walk... you train lots of tricks but no one is well done...

Go one by one, start the spanish walk and when the horse does it perfect, practice another one!

When the horse gets up from the "lie down from the saddle" you pull so hard the left riend... be more careful!

  • @bencomo92 Did you really have to be that rude? Sometimes horses can't do the spanish walk that good, every horse is different. :/ No horse can do a certain thing 'perfect'. And she didn't pull on the rein that hard, it was more of a "wake up call" or a tap. And she also has a snaffel bit in, so if it was a jerk it wouldn't hurt as much as other bits would.

  • @horsesLcool Of course sometimes horses can't do everything perfect, but you don't have to be so that ambitious to teach lots of tricks. i'm not rude, i'm realistic. It's not a "wake up call" 'cause when you pull the horse i waking up.

The horse is very beautiful and the lie down is well done (something good for you). But you have to accept critiques (or whatever it's spelled).

    Keep practicing

  • @bencomo92 Why don't you back off of her. I'd like to see you do it better, cause its real easy to sit on your ass and judge someone else and tell them how bad they are. So lets see you teach a horse to do all of what she has. If not, shut the hell up.

  • @bencomo92 Someone is a little jealous lol...We all know you probably dont have a horse half as pretty and well mannered as hers, and you damn sure arent the horseman that she is...actually...lets give you the benefit of the doupt and say you MIGHT be able to barely hold a candle to her...prove it. I dont see any amazing horse videos of yours, now do I?

  • Beautiful horse.. It's wonderfull how you can do some tricks with your horse. Its way to amazing !!

  • what im training peek-aa-boo to do !(:

  • that horse....is extremely beautiful..!!!

  • lozen is sooooooooooo cute and very well trained i wish my pony could do that

  • those tricks are soooooooooooooooo cool i wish my horse could do that. and he is sooooo cute too

  • Wow! Lozen is soooooo pretty! Good job training her!

  • wow! Can she do a collected rare by now? Cuz that rear doesent look healthy,.. :(

  • Wow, what a trained horse, very cute too!

  • I Like the song

    and I love this hours

  • the horse is sooooooooo gorgeous

  • Such a gorgeous horse! Stunning!

  • AWSOME! i want to teach my horse to rear on command!!

  • i just figured out it's a paint lol :D

  • tht horse is so pretty and talented is he an appaloosa or a paint can't tell lol and to think im in big horse shows lol.... my horse would cry if he saw this vid he cant do any of this

  • you have a gorgeous horse(: x

  • wow that sooooo crazy im sooo jelouse lol teach me ur ways lmao jk

  • what a little superstar!

  • for when she is bowing with you on her... did you just teach her to bow and then sit on her and ask for the command?

  • Very Cool :)

  • your horse is absolutly beautiful!

  • Bad Comments are unnecessary! When training a horse, any good trainer should know every horse responds differently. It's up to you to see what buttons/commands work.

  • hey do you have vids on how to teach us to teach the horse loved so of those tricks and want my horse to do them

  • That was great!

  • My horse rears cuz she is a barrel horse and likes to runn!

  • shes such a good horse

  • THat horse is absolutely gorgeous!

  • You go girl

  • That was so sweet and smart! She deserves a apple cookie! My fav part was the head position in the slow canter. WOW...and a beautiful face as well. She's very beautiful...your both blessed to have each other. And some say horses are just animals......they are a part of you. My gelding was my BF, I would place him above my hubby! LOL. Give 'er a pat for me and tell her good job from Texas!

  • Cute horse, but in the interest of its health and your safety you should put a saddle on for rearing tricks, because if you slide back while he rears (which you will, unless you hang onto its mane like crazy, which will hurt it) you will end up sitting on its loins, and that can bruise the kidneys :/ other than that one risky trick they are all very cute!

  • beautiful horse :-)

  • some people need to stop putting bad comments! so what if she messed up somethings but she did great! u dont have to point out stuff.

  • I'm not excactly well trained on WATCHING horses and their riders, but I do ride, so I'm not going to critisize what the horse does. Anyways, the horse is beautiful and well trained as far as I can see, but seriously, it doesn't seem like the horse is enjoying it much, so it makes what the horse is doing look sloppy.

  • i disagree-the music suits the video perfectly...the horse is absolutely amazing!!!!

  • most beautiful horse ive ever seen..

  • beautiful horse!!

  • really eejoyed that! yes she was on the lead in the canter BUT i don't care! I enjoyed it! Was it all verble commands or physical ques? I couldn't tell

  • Is he a medicine hat?

  • Because everyone has Woos chips for footing!?

  • this horse is BEAUTIFUL! i have a palomino who i love but i want a tri clor like this so bad.

  • @LissIsOhSoHxC it's not really a tri color,he's just a bay paint

  • what a clever girl! i luved the pics at the end lol :D

  • ahaa gayyy i can do betterrrr KIDDIN im just kiddin when i said kidden

  • She's quite the talented little lady isn't she? Good job with the training, she seems very solid in her understanding the cues.

  • i agree eponeto horrible taste in music but gorgeous horse! did you go to a trainer to teach her that or did you do it yourself?

  • Good God. *drool* That is such a gorgeous horse.

And 0:48 - what an epic picture.

  • @livi12001 isnt it just!

  • Only have the iron on the ball of your foot. Point your toes in a little otherwise great job :)

  • I think in the extended slow trot he could engage his back legs a bit more but otherwise this is FANTASTIC!!!!! MAZIN HORSE, AWESOME CONNECTION, OVERALL GREATNESS!

  • how do you teach them to rear ?

  • wow!

  • CooL :)

  • I dont see anything unhappy about this horse. She is not complaining and does everything asked. Trust me, these trick horses have to love their job otherwise they wont do it. You cant train a trickhorse that doesnt want to do it. I know, I train them. Pretty little mare.

  • How do you teach a rear? I'm only aiming to accomplish the bow (without rider), but I'm curious about the rear.

  • @skybluepainter My horse started rearing when not asked. Now I have been adding a que for her and she is getting that she waits until asked. She loves cookies and at the end of a great improvement she gets one. Go to my chanel to see her. I only have one riding video of her at the moment. Her name is Sassie and I am proud to have owned her since birth!(Video will been up by tuesday 6-15-10)

  • omg!! i wish i could teach my QH to do that that amazing!!!

  • how did you teach her to do the spanish walk?

  • nice !!

  • WoW :D (Y)

  • @texluver:how is the horse not happy?it performed flawlessly and shows no signs of unhappyness... its ears aren't down it doesn't toss its head when it reared it didn't get frusterated at the end it seemed very intune to its rider and did what it was asked of no more no less

  • @horsegirls99 actually during the spanish walk it lookd literally pissed but otherwise it lookd happy 2 plz

  • A lot of horses pin their ears back in consentration. Because she did the trick without hesitation or harshly swishing her tail, you can tell she was just focused on completing the request.

  • Such a beautiful mare.

  • @IhateJonasBros100 you said that with the wrong punctuation and case. it should go like this: such a BEAUTIFUL mare!!!!!!!

  • @amax7895 No, I'm pretty sure I said it right. I used proper case. I've seen many beautiful horses in my life, and this is just another one. But still, yes, this horse is quite the looker. Makes me miss my Fox Trotter at home.

  • @IhateJonasBros100 aww:) Your fox trotter "back at home" looks like this lady??? sweet :)

  • @amax7895 Yup, only my mare isn't a brown and white paint. Strangely enough, she's cream and white, so you can barely see the pattern on her.

  • @IhateJonasBros100 wow!!!! I love horses like that!!! They're so beautiful! Good luck with your training!

  • @amax7895 Thank you! :D I'll try and post a video with her in it.

  • Could you possible give me some tips on how to do these?

I want to do this with my horse.

  • wait lozen is, well, RIP LOZEN!!!!!!!!! plz dont tell me that she is gone.......

  • RIP Lozen <-- i was told by Megan from Galloping Grapes

  • Very Buetifule horse. :)

  • Very nice!

She seemed like she was having fun too! And that's half the battle.....

Very nice job (give her a hug for us!).....thanks for sharing!

    Deb :)

  • thats the most nautral rear i have saw on a horse. nicely taught, ive seen some that they say will rear and they are jerkin their mouth to peices

  • shes pretty

  • you have a real special horse there =)

  • this is amazing!!! good job on training him.

  • I have a gelding that has a low energy level. We have the lay down really good but I want him to learn to sit up before getting up and with his low energy level I have a new problem that I've never dealt with before (the other horses were quite a bit more energetic).Any tips?

  • thank you i will try that

  • AWSOME she/he is a nice lookin horse....love the tricks mi horse bows but not all the way down yet^_^good job its lookin great

  • I would be great if you could post a video of a demo on how to teach your horse to rear!

  • Awsome job.. Your horse looks like he/she really enjoys performing for you!! Its so much fun teaching horses to do tricks! One of our gelding bows and another counts! They to love doing their tricks!

  • awesome!! did u color his tail?

  • this is amazing!

  • AWSUME!

  • Amazing horse!! :) My horse can rear and bow and other tricks and now I am training lay down to my horse (:

  • that is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool my horse rears but not on command

  • hey how do you teach the horse to do a spanish trot or walk and the lay down ?

  • To teach the horse all of these tricks they have to build on one another... First starting with the bow... Tie the lead rope to his foot and get him to pick it... then get a carrot and ask him to bring up his leg then put the treat low between his front legs... then get good enough to not use the lead rope and do it on que... once he has mastered bowing you now have taught him to pick up his foot so you can do the spanish walk...

  • to do the spanish walk ask him on the ground to pick up his foot (by now using a whip) then the other foot... build up until you can be on him and then try walking...

To lay down you get him bowing then turn his head and he will fall over... hope this helps

  • Very cool horse! Nice Tricks!

  • HE is ADORABLE!!!!!! he looks so fancy when he walks
