The great thing about black ops is they made it so more patches could be made on the fly so some of these complaints people are having will be fixed befor next month probably. the game is probably twice as balance as it was on release date but with mw2 it went from awsome to shit when everyone started finding out about the exploits like 1 man army noobtoobing and boosting. If iw would step aside and let trearch patch mw2 it would be as good as mw1 but i still think it cant beat blops :]

If you want a first person shooter with robust cover system,play Tom Clancy Rainbow Six :Vegas on PC,it's the best version.The shooting is done in first-person mode, the covering in third-person.There are alot of tactical moves you can pull of like smoke grenade, heat vision, silencer.Play it on realistic.You can unlock Terrorist Hunt, where you have to kill a certain amount og 'GASP' terrorist in a certain set-ppiece.Here you have the freedom to observe the terrain and then execute you tactic.

You know, I bought Pacman CEDX, and loved it. The sad thing is, I took my time with it and still got all the trophies in a couple of days, and got mostly A rank on my levels, with a couple at B, putting me in the top 15-20%. @Prosif Black Ops is laggy as hell....... if you ever get into a room because the servers are shitty....... as is the hit detection (shitty as well)......... They have a few things to patch......
Tobin, how about Call of Juarez? Have you tried it? The cover system is somewhat different. Warning, it is a western first person game. When you're in cover you can slowly peek out while still in crouch.
Blops is far and away better than MW2. The freedom to buy what equimpent you like and create whatever emblems you want is awesome. Yuzo you said that you felt like MW2 encouraged you to use all of the weapons but in Blops I think it does the same thing if not more so. In order to know what weapons you want to buy in later prestiges you have to buy all of them at some point and decide whether or not you like them or not. Also the 4 classified weapons you need all the other weapons to unlock them.
Tobin, I think Harmonix does own the tech to having the "Note Highway".
But it's the angle of the highway that they own(the coming at you highway), not the fact it's vertical. That's why PowerGig has Strait-Vertical note track, not coming at you, & that why Rock of the dead & PowerGig(on top of a lot of things that make powergig the worlds biggest piece of shit) are bad
Well actually the new patch that was released for Black Ops disables the people to vote for the same map 3 times in a row.... so after you might play the map twice the third time the map will be dimmed on the voting section and you cant vote for that map again.

i came across it by chance i got three kills got the rc car then died i spawned right behinde them -.-(they realy need to fix the spawns)got three kills again then i used the rc then i saw i still had the rc.once i found out i saved them by the end of the round i use about 5 in a row.
Oh and, Echochrome 2 is definitely something that draws a lot of advantages from the Move itself. Aside from that, lightgun shooters work as predicted and there's also an RTS out there that shows how much the Move increases the gameplay, as one could imagine utilizing the Move which itself could replace a mouse pointer for such games.
That's all I have to add to your final thoughts up there. But yeah, software support will make or break it all.
@GUCCImontana420 Sorry to hear that, man. All I'll say is that MW2 is the second best selling game of all time on PS3 and 360, so there's a lot of people that clearly like it a lot, including Yuzo. No one is going to agree with all of our reviews, or even think they're all well done, we're just two guys talking about games. I think Yuzo should give a bit more credit to Black Ops.
As much as I liked MW2, the support for it was terrible.
The tactical insertion, the unlimited noob tubes/one man army and other annoying glitches really at times spoiled the game for me, and I couldn't believe IW didn't really address these issues. It just puts off regular and beginner COD players to play.
So far, Treyarch are doing their best to prevent any glitches in Black Ops, and I believe they still will do in the future.
@FortyKaz Going to play some more after the patch for sure, but even with all the glitches and annoyances I really enjoyed playing MW2 even a year after launch. There were some really solid maps and I still haven't felt any of the current blops ones as big winners yet.

Black Ops is a GREAT game. I highly doubt people will be off of the game in a month considering how many bought it. I like it better than MW2, but then again I'm one of the few that liked W@W more than MW2. Tho CoD 4 is still my fav...anyways, my 2 cents. Definitely worth it if you liked W@W too. Plus like Yuzo said, it's much fairer in terms of the killstreaks and no class is specifically annoying like in MW2 or at least just yet anyways
@lhummorgan There are many other good games coming out within the next few months, so yeah, a few of these people will be saying goodbye to Modern Warfare, and possibly for a longer period of time then one would imagine pending upon what other type of games they like.
I've only gone through like two pages of comments, but Yuzo: They've now patched it such that a lobby can pick the "previous" map only once. That should fix your Nuketown problem.

@fLyGoN160595 I really hope that the connection issue will be fixed. My main worry is that Activision won't take action on it simply because they are Activision (they didn't really fix MW2 either). Blops and MW2 feel like 2 different games altogether. I do think Blops emphasizes more shooting skill, but I miss the crazy pace of MW2 a little.

Racing is a lot deeper than that, theres a million things that the driver and mechanics have to keep an eye on while driving as well as the driver being a good racer. Some people might even go as far as saying that there is a science behind racing (and im not disagreeing)

It's called automotive engineering taking into account the drag forces of car geometry, rotational friction in the tires, aerodynamics, centripital forces acting on the car and driver during a turn, combustion engine efficiency, rotational torque power in the shafts, gear ratios in the engine..... i could go on forever.

Not that many people use RCXD, and you can just use Flakjacket.
They patched matchmaking problems, it still happens in MW2.
I'm sorry, but I don't think you have played MW2 that much to see the flaws in that game.
Also, you can easily play CoD 4, WaW and MW2.

Tobin, how about Call of Juarez? Have you tried it? The cover system is somewhat different. Warning, it is a western first person game. When you're in cover you can slowly peek out while still in crouch.

Blops is far and away better than MW2. The freedom to buy what equimpent you like and create whatever emblems you want is awesome. Yuzo you said that you felt like MW2 encouraged you to use all of the weapons but in Blops I think it does the same thing if not more so. In order to know what weapons you want to buy in later prestiges you have to buy all of them at some point and decide whether or not you like them or not. Also the 4 classified weapons you need all the other weapons to unlock them.

Tobin, I think Harmonix does own the tech to having the "Note Highway".
But it's the angle of the highway that they own(the coming at you highway), not the fact it's vertical. That's why PowerGig has Strait-Vertical note track, not coming at you, & that why Rock of the dead & PowerGig(on top of a lot of things that make powergig the worlds biggest piece of shit) are bad

Well actually the new patch that was released for Black Ops disables the people to vote for the same map 3 times in a row.... so after you might play the map twice the third time the map will be dimmed on the voting section and you cant vote for that map again.

i came across it by chance i got three kills got the rc car then died i spawned right behinde them -.-(they realy need to fix the spawns)got three kills again then i used the rc then i saw i still had the rc.once i found out i saved them by the end of the round i use about 5 in a row.

Child of Eden with move support would be godly.
Oh and, Echochrome 2 is definitely something that draws a lot of advantages from the Move itself. Aside from that, lightgun shooters work as predicted and there's also an RTS out there that shows how much the Move increases the gameplay, as one could imagine utilizing the Move which itself could replace a mouse pointer for such games.
That's all I have to add to your final thoughts up there. But yeah, software support will make or break it all.

No one is going to agree with all of our reviews, or even think they're all well done, we're just two guys talking about games. I think Yuzo should give a bit more credit to Black Ops.
As much as I liked MW2, the support for it was terrible.
The tactical insertion, the unlimited noob tubes/one man army and other annoying glitches really at times spoiled the game for me, and I couldn't believe IW didn't really address these issues. It just puts off regular and beginner COD players to play.
So far, Treyarch are doing their best to prevent any glitches in Black Ops, and I believe they still will do in the future.

@FortyKaz Going to play some more after the patch for sure, but even with all the glitches and annoyances I really enjoyed playing MW2 even a year after launch. There were some really solid maps and I still haven't felt any of the current blops ones as big winners yet.

Black Ops is a GREAT game. I highly doubt people will be off of the game in a month considering how many bought it. I like it better than MW2, but then again I'm one of the few that liked W@W more than MW2. Tho CoD 4 is still my fav...anyways, my 2 cents. Definitely worth it if you liked W@W too. Plus like Yuzo said, it's much fairer in terms of the killstreaks and no class is specifically annoying like in MW2 or at least just yet anyways

I love your videos.Have you guys ever considered altering your scoring system to include what Yuzo was talking about (buy, then resell)?I think the reason is that there is a huge spread in the Thumbs up, rental value.One example I can think of is the Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and AVP games.I think you would agree RSV2 is a much better game, but they essentially received the same recommendation.Still love your show.Btw, I haven't played Eat Lead yet, but I will because Tobin recommended it and he rules

@fLyGoN160595 I really hope that the connection issue will be fixed. My main worry is that Activision won't take action on it simply because they are Activision (they didn't really fix MW2 either). Blops and MW2 feel like 2 different games altogether. I do think Blops emphasizes more shooting skill, but I miss the crazy pace of MW2 a little.

ugh sorry tobin but i hate it when people say racing is just 'A car go around in circles' (Except Nascar that is everything about it hahah). Racing is a lot deeper than that, theres a million things that the driver and mechanics have to keep an eye on while driving as well as the driver being a good racer. Some people might even go as far as saying that there is a science behind racing (and im not disagreeing)

It's called automotive engineering taking into account the drag forces of car geometry, rotational friction in the tires, aerodynamics, centripital forces acting on the car and driver during a turn, combustion engine efficiency, rotational torque power in the shafts, gear ratios in the engine..... i could go on forever.
