They were straight out of the box stock, and they're plastic. They had sat in their boxes unopened for about 5 years until my dad and his friend bought them off my uncle with the sole intention to derby them without putting anymore money in them aside from what they gave my uncle for them (I think it was $60 for the pair). I guess if you consider it a modification they did ad the stickers to them.
If we were to do this again we'd have to find some more rc's this scale that were cheap (paid $60 for the pair I think) or else it'd be out of our price range. These rc's are just sitting on the tool box gathering dust now.
Same here, the purple one's steering went out completely pretty early, and after another month or so they both started to stop and go after a few minutes and now the most they can do is run a few feet and then they just shut down even with a full charge, and yea all we've ever run were the stock batteries, the purple car we actual had to hard wire the battery to the car to make it run.
yaaaah this is some beast thing in which noone cares of their beautiful RC cars! demolition derbies rocks like peanut butter!!!!!

@hewfil1
They were Jesse James custom shop RC cars with hydraulics & bling on them, so Jesse already screwed them up as far as being a classic goes.

No ones holding it, its just sitting on a crate. Anyway the cars are both totaled now so we can't even run anymore derbys.
