  • Shit, I think Pete had a bigger influence on def leppard than I originally thought.

This music tells me that his playing and writing style had everything to do with the pyromania and hysteria music along w the first two albums. This could easily be a Def Leppard song on any of their albums for that matter, they took his formula!!

    It's too coincidental lol

  • @pacificcapital1

Pete Willis did not do write anything on Hysteria. If you wanted to be on the radio and make money, this was the kind of rock music you had to make. The change in style for Def Leppard's later sound was all Mutt Lange. All you have to do is listen to Lady Gaga's "You and I" and when the drums and guitar kicks in, it might as well have been Def Leppard. Still, I think Pete and Steve together made the sound for High N Dry and Pyromania what it was.

  • roadhouseband.co.uk

  • almost like winger.

  • Isn't it kind of ironic that Roadhouse sounded a lot more like Def Leppard AFTER Pete Willis left than Def Leppard WITH Pete Willis.

A lot of people say Pete no longer being in Def Leppard changed their musical style. After hearing Roadhouse, I'm not so sure. They may have gone in a different direction after Pyromania even IF Pete was still in the band.

  • @TheGringo300 Yeah, sounds a lot like something that would've been on hysteria or adrenalize. A lot of people assue pete was the "heavy metal" guy but they assumed wrong. I point them to this music to show 'em that pete went 'pop' as well. If more willis apologists heard this music, they'd probably change their opinions. Of course they would deny this is him.

  • this is good stuff, should have been up there with Damn Yankees and Mr Big

  • amen to that

  • @firebird116 If they had formed earlier in like 88 then yep they woulda been big, but early 90s was seeing this kinda metal out the door.

  • Yep i knew :)

  • HAHAH I LOVE ur description in upper right hand box!! It's soooo true! Btw, u probably knew this, but this is Pete Willis' former band (ex-Def Leppard guitarist). It's too bad they never broke through though. I wonder if they got their name after Patrick Swayze movie of same name.

  • hast ja auch ne klasse Sammlung ohne zweifels :)

  • Befindet sich auch in meiner Sammlung ... ;) *****
