There's 2 on ebay now. I liked your tone in the vid. The low-end of the palm mutes kind of have "weight" to them, like the resonance of a 4x12 that comes slightly after the attack of the notes. But then I read a bunch of bad reviews about the reliability...I've had the POD, PODxy, PODxt Pro, there is some kind if harshness to them that grates on my ears after a while. Could it be digital aliasing? kind of a cumulative effect, I got "ear fatigue".
one of the ONLY vids I could find with the TN100, considering getting one, so rare and not many audio clips available. Sounds great...I dig analog better than digital modelling, tubes or no tubes...Sansamp PSA1 is my other choice. But that has no effects. Love me some Adrian Smith.
@JamesJLaRue The preamp section of the TN100 sounded good. The effects were only so-so. Frank Gambale himself told me that they were thrown in as an afterthought to enhance the feature list. The TN100 was problematic for Carvin. A lot of them had reliability issues. Mine died shortly after posting this vid. Carvin replaced all the guts of mine, but by the time I got it back from the factory, I had already moved on to a POD X3 Pro. I haven't used the Carvin ever since. Wonder what it's worth.
Carvin is probably the most awesome guitar company ever. For a custom or "botique" company, they are very cheap, made in the usa, have a great ordering thing that lets you put in every detail, and did i say cheap?
If you live in Southern California, there are 5 or 6 Carvin showrooms in the area. Otherwise, you have to take a leap of faith. You won't be disappointed!
If memory serves, the audio recorded in this video was coming out of the speakers attached to my computer and was captured by the microphone built in to my iSight camera.
This is THE guitar that has made me stop wanting other guitars. I have another CT6 with a Wilky which is just as nice, but nothing beats the M bridge. Seriously, I have not picked up my others guitars in two years because of the CT6!

I'm using a Carvin TN100 Tone Navigator analog preamp direct into my computer. I think I used a factory preset when I recorded this.

Ok thanks. Also, is there anyway to try out Carvins before you buy them from the custom shop? I wanna buy a CT6M, but not if I can't try it.
