  • thumbs up if you just want to hug richard lll i know i do i nearly cried

  • i have the same phobia of wasps...

p.s no one can prove anything

  • RUN, FORM THE WASP RICHARD!!!!!!

  • This comment is completely irrelevant but as soon as I realised this was a pastiche of a Leona Lewis song (Better In Time) I felt immediate sadness that we didn't see Jim rolling around on the floor and pouting longingly into the camera. It would seem my crush has reached those dangerous levels we all know so well. Oh Jim, why are you so perfect? And stop marrying other woman when I am waiting patiently over here! Maybe it will be third time lucky? ;)

  • Matt as Shakespeare?

HELL YES. My love of Shakespeare has gone up by about 500%

  • hh as never lied about anything so why wouldn't this its doesnt make sence so..yeah

  • Yeah right & if a frog had wings he would bumping his ass.

  • Aww! I always feel like crying when I hear this song!

  • @discowilma me to

  • aw; Jim.<3

  • Fabulous! I loved it. If a children's show can see the truth you would think that some historians might be able to!

  • false. clearly was a baddy, look how mean he was to that wasp >:( he only wanted to give him a hug

  • Cute crush on Jim....

  • @pinkywinky1904 MASSIVE crush on Jim...

  • @palinite O.O I stand corrected.

    Yh, I love him...

  • @palinite pretty damn huge crush on Jim, hell yeah!

  • This is one of my favorite

  • 8 Henry's 8 edwards 4 Williams about to be 3 kings named Charles. I mean COME ON GET NAME SOMONE DIFFERENT FOR ONCE!

  • @fun592000 AND there were 6 Georges all up

  • @fun592000 Anne? Victoria? Stephen? John? Not all names repeat ... plus, can you imagine a King Josh or Queen Lisa?

  • @michaelritchie200 The next queen of Sweden will be queen Victoria. But I know of one queen name that is worse than Lisa: Crown princess (and later on) queen METTE MARIT! Godawful! (only in Norway...)

  • hahahahahahah he looks like one of my classmate's...scary and weird and funny at the same time!

  • Also, I love how he develops a lisp as the song goes on :)

  • I wish everyone would stop arguing about whether he was good or bad. As a history student (yes, I still watch HH even at 20) I know that there IS an area of debate surrounding the legend of Richard III. The idea that he was completely the opposite of how he is depicted is just meant to be funny- the suggestion that we could have got it this wrong is amusing! Because the show is educational, I think the point of this sketch is to get kids to question the assumptions that popular culture provides.

  • i fancy him.

  • Lol, "VOTE FOR ME" ^^!

  • Awww! I just wanna give him a hug!

  • Wasp, oh, god, it's a wasp! *Running away* Wasp, it's a wasp!

  • He was a bit bad, he fought war with the first tudor, Henry VII

  • @AnDrEa10135 Henry VII started it. Richard II took the throne when his brother died but Henry wanted it for himself so he fought for it.

  • i love horrible histories soooooo much :) :)

  • He actually may have indeed bumped off his nephews or had them kicked out somewhere so that he could take the throne. I don't think that has been officially disproven but it is very true that practically everything else they accuse him of was fabricated or exaggerated.

He did die in battle and I actually found that to be really cool and heroic even when it is depicted as it is in Shakespeare.

  • @sethmanrockandroll He was the last king to die in battle and as I said before there is no proof he disposed of his nephews. It would have been against his character to do that. He only wanted to rule fairly and enacted many brilliant laws in the short time he was king. England would have been better off without the Tudors if only Richard had triumphed at Bosworth.

  • And henry the 8th was badder but stopped wars and make himself pretend one's.

im 9. from hockwold school exluded 3 days X3

  • HE WAS kind but the problem was he made wars

  • @Esseeja He didn't start the wars after he was King but was defending his throne. The horrible Tudors would never had been, had Richard been the victor - he did so many good things for the ordinary people of England it would have been an interesting reign.

  • love his voice so glad he was on the show :D

  • Well done Jim, you deserved that BAFTA :)

  • Horrible histories is really goood :)

  • My kids both junior school age, love this BBC series, and they are learning history, what can be such a dead boring subject has really been brought to life by the cast. Bravo! Can't wait to see the apathetic Australians in a future series.

  • He's a good singer!!

  • WHY SHAKKKKY

  • Jim can sing really well!

  • awww i love him x

  • Thumbs up if you just wanted to give Jim Howick a great big hug!

  • I love the way he says "WHAT A SCANDAL!!"

  • this video sounds sad

  • this video is sad.

  • I would love it if this is how parliament got us to vote :)

  • is this a ballad?

  • Hate to say it, but whether or not you think Richard killed the Princes, he was a pretty nasty guy - he denounced his nephews as illegitimate to the whole of London their to-be, and claimed his mother had conceived his brother outside of marriage at the same time! He also committed illegal murders and imprisoned the boys "behind the bars and windows" in the Tower (Mancini, 1483). Shakespeare certainly did have a motive to discredit him, but More may have it right. <3 horrible histories

  • The reason Henry VIII was the way he was because he suffered he headinjury as a young man during a ridingaccident, causing injury to his fronatllobes which resulted in him going through a personalitychange.

  • that is so cruel you lot shouldn't of been hard on him ' thomas moore wrote a history said i murded edwards boys shakespeare said their was an evil ply'

  • I think Richard Brook should sing this song to protest his innocence :)

  • Ughh, whenever I hear this I wanna cry! Haha Its sorta touching :)

  • he has got talent

  • I feel sorry for richard the three! Why did they say that? Well it's because they believed everything william said!!!! Like my kingdom for a horse! He didn't say that! LOL ideal husband!!!!!!!!!XD

  • Does anyone know where they film this cos if it's not a real castle omg that looks so real

  • @MikiHatji its a real castle i m not completely sure were it is

  • im a nice guy....

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHH CRAP ITS A WASPPPPPPP

    XD

  • Look at his innersent smile at 0:15

  • Poor Guy WHY WILLIAM S

  • AWWW! You just wanna go give him a hugg! LOL

  • Henry VII's father was a step-brother to the Lancastrian king Henry VI. He had a weak claim to the throne. The Yorkist Richard III and Edward IV were descendants of Lionel of Clarence, Edward III's second son through their grandmother and Edmund of York, Edward III's fourth son, through their grandfather. The Lancastrians were descendants of John of Gaunt, Edward III's third son. The succession of the throne passed over Lionel's family (because he had no direct male descendants) to the Tudors.

  • Whether or not Richard or Henry had the best claim doesn't matter. Surely we can simply agree that if Richard III ever, EVER, ACTUALLY sang, "Can you imagine it / I'm the last Plantagenet?" then he deserved to be King?

  • @bedstonehistory Agree - best line in the song! BTW, Richard almost certainly did not kill the princes.

  • @spazzy69 I don't know, there is a lot of evidence pointing towards him killing them...

  • @JadehavenAcademy FROM TUDOR HISTORIANS!!!

  • @JadehavenAcademy But he didn't need to kill them. Parliment had already made the Princes illegitimate, they were already removed from the line of succession. Keeping the Princes around would've saved Richard III a lot of trouble later in his reign.

  • @MightyDavidson Hi, there is no proof that Richard killed his nephews. Many theories abound about who it may have been, or even if they were killed! One theory has the older one dying of an infection and the other that the younger escaped to Burgundy and was taken in by his Aunt Margaret after Henry succeeded Richard. It goes against Richard's character that he would have his nephews murdered. Unfortunately we will never know.

  • All I can say is that I'm glad it's not still the Tudor era since half my family are Welsh; the other half Lancastrian so I'd have been brought up to hate Richard 3rd, because my family would be on Henry VII's side! Good job I wasn't x

  • Nawwwwwww, i love Jim! xxx

  • Can you please stop fighting on what is a clip from a kids show, yes your knowledge on the subject is fairly extensive, but still come on.

  • @PhilAFire93 lmao Well said.

  • @PhilAFire93

It's the price you pay when you study history, you get peeved when something's slightly off.

  • @PhilAFire93 Yes, can´t stand the smart ass comments on kids show.

  • poor little richard

  • Do I look like a baddy love?

  • Shakespeare's face when he rips his 'work' up

    Lol

  • aww poor richy :(

  • Jim has such a good voice!

  • He is so cute! He could toss roses and croon at me all day...

  • I love this song. It's amazing, and I recognize the tune. Anyone know what it is?

  • haha wasp....

  • poor richard 3

  • the reason he is always portrayed badly is because the tudors won the war of the roses and wrote the history books from there side. i learnt all of that from horrible histories.

  • It's okay Richard, I'll look after you. He's so cute, isn't he? I'll protect him from the wasps.

  • This song is amazing!!! "Agh! Theres a wasp! Theres a wasp!!!" LOVE IT!!!

  • I sing this to my family all the time... they just look at me weirdly.

  • poor richy! =(

  • its a wasp ITS A WASP

  • well if you don't like the way that you are portrayed just hire the greatest historical figure ever to deal with it, who is this figure you ask why ezio auditore da firenze of course

  • Look hard at Shakespeare, who is it? Lol I wanna hug Richy III

  • @blahnessrandomness (zooms in) OMG ITS MAT!!!!!!

    And greetings from Singapore.

  • SO true

  • Time to tell thuth about king Richard 3

  • If Tony Blair was a monarch......! Love this from Jim Howick; not normally attracted to shorter gents but he is adorable in this! Also great to see Tudor propaganda being debunked - HH needs to be on the curriculum -)

  • It's a wasp. ITS A WASP!!!!

  • @ProffessorGrizwald he sounded like me - i'm terrified of bees and wasps. I have a scar as proof

  • I adore Jim.

  • Wow. Jim is an amazing artist. (1:20)

  • 9 Tudors found this

  • aghhh i know the intro! what song is this based on?! its annoyiing me so much i can't remember!

  • @Lxoxx Leona Lewis, mostly Better in Time

  • AWESOME

  • Who thinks that the wasp was there on accident?

  • Jim Howick's like a big, greatly talented Teddy Bear. I think he deserves a hug.

  • @burgerandfriez Glad I'm not the only one who gets an overwhelming urge to just give Jim a giant hug

  • Ironically he plays one of the evillest people in history, Emperor Nero. Lol.

  • Why's everyone against the Tudors? Maybe they weren't of royal descendent, but because of Henry VII, Elizabeth I came to the throne,, and without Elizabeth I the history of England would have gone very differently..

  • @ChezzaSoldier94 Elizabeth DID do a good job on the throne, but ol' Henry had too much a liking for chopping people's heads off and his daughter bloody Mary would make Bin Laden almost look reasonable...........

  • @Darthbelal

Mary I was just trying to undo what her father did and restore the old Church. Henry VIII just created the new one to get a divorce from Catherine of Aragon. however, this doesn't justify their actions.

  • @ChezzaSoldier94 Because they were horrible people without morals who never should have been on the throne in the first place.

  • @poshnile When you say "they were horrible people without morals who should never have been on the throne in the first place" you are presumably talking about the Tudors aren't you? Well let me tell you that the Tudors weren't all horrible people ok, the reason why they made stuff up about Richard the Third was because it was all supposed to sway public opinion about the war of the roses towards the Tudors. Propaganda, in other words.

  • Stupid wasps...they ruin everything...

  • I love these Horrible Histories. Do they have one on the Red Baron? That he is actually real and not the creation of Charles Schulz!

  • are they making a season 4

  • He was a geat king, it was his hoorible closest man that betrayed him and the guy who was to become henry the 7. The tudors should never been aloud to rule casue they had no right, the weren´t of royal descendent. They probably murdered the children, he didn´t have any reason to, he was already on the tthrone. Check out a doc about him and you´ll learn the truth. Greetings from sweden.

  • @poshnile Completely true, it was all tudor propaganda. Henry 7 Should never have won the war of the roses... His line to the royal blood line was very very weak...and Henry VIII's was even weaker. But you'll have to looking into that too much explaining just look up the rouen daily book about edward IV's birth to find out more ;)

But this is an awesome song =D

  • @poshnile Henry the seventh had a claim to the throne through his mother who was a descendant of John of Gaunt The Duke of Lancaster the third son of Edward the third. However Richard the Third is desendant of the younger the son Edmund the Duke of York.

  • @poshnile Henry the 2nd wasn't a descendant either-.-

  • @poshnile if you really want to get technical some may question the descendants of William the Conqueror being Kings in the first place, the Tudors were not the first to take kingship by force

  • @poshnile I remenber that Tudors were Welsh in orign...

  • @poshnile Thanks to Elizabeth I the history of England would have gone totally wrong. So thanks to Anne Boleyn and Henry 8. for giving England Elizabeth 1.

    Greetings from Norway :P

  • @TheBumbleBunny In what way would history gone wrong? I think that it´s impossible to say wheter it would have been "better" or worse" if a descendet of Richard or Henry would have ruled... it would have been different that´s a thing for sure. I would have prefered Richard because I think the way Henry 7 came to the throne was wrong, by murdering 2 innocent kids and ´covering up the evidence and blaming it on richard for 200 years,it says something of the way the Tudors functioned.

  • @poshnile I agree but not all Tudor's were mean. I have nothing against Richard the 3.. I mean there is certain stuff in Tudor stuff that was a good thing. (still reasearching on history and stuff so I am a new history nerd) I guess Henry the 7 was like the Borgias. Killing their way to sucsess.

  • @poshnile the Tudors had a claim but it was a weak claim, and in truth it is possible that Henry Tudor or his mother murdered the princes, sadly we will be unable to find out what happened to them, for now Richard III the last Yorkist king remains a suspect in their disappearance, although i doubt he did it.

  • @poshnile but the tudors gave us Henry VIII at least, a Elizabeth

  • @MateusVIII yeah, that was sort of the problem, in my opinion

  • @poshnile Elizabeth was a great queen, she stoped the S´pabsh Armada and made englad a worl power, Henry created the chruch of England

  • @MateusVIII I don´t know if I agree with one nation becoming a world power, I mean would it have been a good thing if the germans during the 2WW had succeeded with that? Henry only created the church of England so that he could divorce and remarry, it was a political decision it had nothing to do with religion or being great.

  • @poshnile okay, the Tudors did had royal blood,

Henry VII's father was the half brother of Henry VI, who, oh yeah has royal blood, they had a claim, yes it was weak but still had a claim, Richard killed the majority of his friends, one with out reason, dragged him to the yard, beheaded him with no trial...yes some of it was just Shakespeare sucking up to Queen Elizabeth, but other sources are accurate so...Richard made the princes illegitimate so was his fault...Ps I do A-Level Tudor History

  • @AtrumDecor Ok so you do an A level in Tudor *yawn*, yes I know that he did had a link but it was much WEAKER than Richards. Richard made the princes illegitimate, he could have killed them... becuase when they grew up they could have tried to murder him, he didn´t. Henry 7 killed his way to the throne, he was a murderer. Richard and Henry met on the battlefield and Henry won becuase of political decisions, becuase he tricked Richard in some way so that he lost not becuase he was

  • @poshnile okay, Henry did not murder his way onto the throne, and I'm not saying Richard killed the princes, but he did get rid of them, he made them illegitimate, but he either had them killed or took them away so they would pose no threat. What proof do have of Henry VII killing his way? He gained support and won a battle because all of Richard nobles and supporters either did not support him or did not support the cause, Henry did not trick him, it's not his fault that they supported him not

  • @AtrumDecor Ok, how unusal is that you wouln´d get rid of someone in the position he was in, anyone in his position would have done the same thing except for the tudors who would have killed them probably. That´s just the thing there aren´t any proof that henry and Richards closest man did kill them but they had the most REASON to, not Richard since he was already on the throne, and especially their the ones that seems the most guilty since henry did become king! Even you couldn´t

  • @AtrumDecor overlook that. Henrry burned some important document saying he had not right to the throne and making RIchard look like the guilty part. There was some kind of conspiricy against Richard making him loose on the battlefield, I don´t remenber all the details but I do know I don´t need to research my facts before unlike you honey.

  • @poshnile Richard, so a word of advice, research your facts before hand sweetie

  • @AtrumDecor brave or pariculary good on the battlefield.

  • 1:30 yes

    lol

  • Why is it that every song Jim sings you feel like saying "Aww!" at the end - well; except when he's Emperor Nero, that is!

  • @MultiBelle22 He just exudes this feeling :)

  • AWW! what a woobie!

  • ahhhh so cute

  • i love the signs he holds: ideal husband great with kids not guilty haaa classic HH i cant get enough so educational but sooooo funny and cleverly written you cant even tell your learning the actors are amazing the costumes are top notch and the songs are mindblowingly fabulous long live Horrible Histories!!!

  • haha 0:52

  • I went about 3 days without listening to this... then I had to come back! SO GOOD!

  • Horrible histories rocks theres stupid songs that are rubbish and meaningless or horrible histories songs that teach you and sound good. Go team Richard :)

  • I can't stop watching this over and over again :)

  • history wasnt kind to king richard III and the only information about him comes from the time of the tudors which shouldnt be considered historically accurate either as they did overthrow and kill him so the truth of richards reign was lost in the war of the roses and no one can prove anything either way so basically its your opinion

  • @germanyswarrior That isn't quite true as Mancini's Usurpation of King Richard III was written in December 1484. Mancini's account was based on London gossip and his own latin speaking informants including Edward V's doctor John Argentine. And the striking similarities between Mancini (and the Croyland Chronicle April 1486) and the later accounts by Vergil et al (who had no access to Mancini) suggests that the Tudor sources should not be completely written off as propaganda.

  • Do I look like a baddy?

Me: Let me think about that one... yes

  • Why would you not not like him? He's awsome! He is just like a normal king!

  • im on your richey-rich 3

  • He's a nice guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is all this actually true coz it's not eat it says in my textbook

  • @bugsyiloveyou This is horrible histories. WHY WOULD YOU NOT BELIEVE IT.

  • @Lollyholly99 Plus, Blackadder agrees ;-)

  • @PalleRasmussen What.

  • @bugsyiloveyou it could be true but then again all history is biased as history is written by the victors not the losers and defiantly not from a third point of view

  • Poor Jim, attacked by wasps at the end of this video and attacked by his bee lottery prize in Elagabalus' Romo lottery millions......

  • He doesn't seem so bad as my Teacher's History Books say.
