I hate when people put an age limit on when to throw curve balls in my opnion it depends on the player if they have solid mechanics,there in good shape , strong , and worksout then id say go ahead if there's a 12 year old kid that has good nutrtion and has all of the stuff i said i don't see why not but if it's a 16 year old that doesn't exercise , has bad nurtrition and is weak then he shouldn't be throwing it and no matter what age you are never abuse the pitch

You can throw the curve at however age you want to throw it...one of my teamates dropped his arm while throwing his curve and that really fucked his shit up. so if you throw it THE WRONG MECHANICAL way you'll get hurt...but look at Zito, he learned his when he was 9 or 10 i believe...just throw it the proper overhand to 3/4 way and you'll be fine....yeah everybodys a critic o youtube and everyones a mechanics expert they can smd.

It was a good curve with a lot of break, but it was too easy to tell by the arm movement that it was going to be a curve. His arm went very slow and he snapped his wrist too much.

First of all, if your arm hurts when you throw curveballs you're throwing them wrong. Second, if throwing a curveball at 13 is wrong, then why are 12 year olds in the little league world series throwing them and still throwing hard by the 6th inning. Now I still think the actual little league organization is BS cause of going from 46/60 to 60.5/90.

Unfortunately, you are incorrect. Screwballs put the most stress on your arm(because you're twisting your arm inwards which is COMPLETELY un-natural), then it's sliders (Because it can be thrown harder, and for some people need to be thrown harder to get the rotation that is required for the pitch), then it's curveballs.

I threw as hard as I could and threw curveballs in little league By the time I hit Varsity my arm was so messed up that I would throw the ball straight into the ground half the time. Ended up having to quit my Junior year because I couldn't throw anymore.
