  • hey i have one of these too, just seems like it uses wayyy too much gas. i was wondering what your gas usage is at wot or cruising, thanks

  • @thefishboyy18.......I can cruise all day for about $50 (5-10 mph)...but if I go hard all day and can burn easy $100 in 3 hrs.

  • @prodrive2000 does this sound right? if i go full throttle for 13 minutes, i burn 3 gallons of gas, trimmed up, does that sound right? thanks

  • @thefishboyys18....Wow it almost a 1/4 tanks for me...I would say that I will use about 12 liters in 30 minutes at least....what kinds of prop you got and what your pitch...?

I'm running 21 pitch on a clover prop.

  • i have a 90 hp bass boat and we go about 48 mph top speed with 2 people in it

  • @LBKproduction ..........I had a 10 footer boat with a 50hp and I was doing 45 mph.

  • I have the same I think.. 85 115 Mercury. It has a red band - and I am not sure what that means. Trying to figure it out, which I believe was stock with the boat - Boston Whaler Revenge 22'..

  • nice rooster . your motor is not a 85 its either a 87 or 88 by the color of the bands

  • my dad had a 15.5 ft Hydrasport bass boat and at one time he ran a 115 on it and it would push 65 mph.

  • Like our Merc ;-) sounds good. I have also a 115hp Merc. Mine is on a 17' Finnsport 500, what kind of boat is yours?

Mine went up to 53 GPS miles/h on a 21pitch alu prop. at 5800 rpm.

  • I got a Cadorette Ski Master 16.5 foot...if you go with a SS propeller you will gain some speed...with barely fuel I can reach almost 64 MPH at that speed the boat is rocking from right to left and barely touch the water. :-)

  • @prodrive2000 I have a boat that i have to sell, but dont know anything about boats.....Its a i think 1998 or 2000 164 cayman flats boat with the tower, 1998 Mercury 115 hp & a Loadmaster trailer ....I need to find out a price range to ask for $....Thanks!

  • @escobarstatus...Hi it hard to say just like that but my guess will be around $5.000 to $10.000...at that depending where you live the condition of the boat and engine...look around on the net to figure out a price...check on Ebay,Craiglist, local paper,Boat trader...etc...hope that help...good luck.

  • @prodrive2000 dont hurt the mercs though there the best outboard ever made really they are

  • what kind of prop is you using?

  • I'm using a Stainless Steel Prop 21 picth 3 blades Clover design for a 150 hp Mercury.

  • nice. I have almost the same motor, but mine has the blue band, unfortunately and it's a bit older. my dad also has a 1968 650 (65 hp) red band.
