These dogs with the right training and love can be the best family dog you will ever have. They are great w/kids as well as the whole family. Pit bulls are born un-mean and un-evil like all other creatures, but also as potentially unpredictable as the Fido next door - and with far larger damage potential and corresponding less failure margins. Any dog that possesses the traits that this breed does needs qualified and ethical breeders and experienced and savvy owner who are in full control. Complete with a certain degree of inbreeding and crossbreeding with God knows what. The breeds curse is the quality of many of their owners. But for rather obvious reasons, they are extremely unlikely to send their victims of their attacks to the emergency department or graveyard. The dogs reasons are ranging from the obvious to the not human comprehensible. The only dogs out there guaranteed not to bite are either dead or stuffed toys. How dangerous that biting will be are largely dependent on the breed involved and their characteristics, with Pit bulls placed way up on the danger scale.
