Did you know CrossOver is based upon Wine, which is freely available under the GPL license? You don't need to pay for CrossOver, since FL Studio runs fine with a plain Wine install on, for instance, Linux.

@cumulus0007 Yes, I am aware of that, but only recently did I learn that, lol. And as well, Wine requires more steps, and for some, it would be confusing, it wouldn't fit the title of "Under 20 Minutes."

@SurajOnTheBeat Well, I guess on a Mac there is more work involved, downloading Crossover is much easier. On Ubuntu for instance, you just open the software center and look for Wine. Then, you can run and install FL Studio as you explain in your video. Btw, I don't know how Wine on OS X handles audio, but on Linux you have to make sure FL Studio can "lock" the audio device, otherwise FL's output is extremely laggy and stutters. This is somwhere in the FL settings.

I tried running FL Studio 9 on Linux for a friend in the past, it worked pretty well with the crappy on-board audio, I just had to make sure it was the only app using the sound card, otherwise the sound would go crazy. I could remember people discussing about something called ASIO on forums, but don't ask me what this is precisely.
