  • hey longboard reviews, i know once you get them going they slide smooth but how easy are these for inatiating slides?

  • @fearsrampage1313 Of the Abec 11 classic thane wheel family, these are the easiest to initiate slides with. They're a really slippery wheel I had a hard time hitting corners on these they're so slidy hahaha

    -Tristan

  • @LongboardingReview thanks man

  • these or metro motion 80a? for good standies and general slides.

  • @LoadedOriginal1 both wheels are really good options, so good that its tough picking out a set hahaha. I would say the flashbacks, but either one will preform amazingly, flashbacks just happen to be a bit cheaper

  • do that flat spot easy ?

  • @forestfilms1 No wheel is flatspot resistant, and abec 11s are notorious for having wheels that wear really quick (which is what gives them their awesome feeling slides), but If you keep your slides under 90 degrees they should not flatspot!

  • I don't know if i should get these or not because i wanna get into sliding way more but i still like that grip when i rip around corners. I need some help should i just buy them and see whats up?

  • @thebigkahuna805 If you are looking for a wheel that slides well but still allows for gripping possibilities I would not recommend the flashbacks just because they can get sketchy when your trying to hit a corner going fast. If you want a wheel that can slide well but still maintain some grip I'd look at wheels like the 80a Stimulus or even an Abec 11 Freeride/Zig zag.

    -Tristan

  • @LongboardingReview Awesome thanks

  • flash back 78a classic? or zigzag 78a classic? i'm 110lb

  • @uniboy400 Either one would be awesome! I personally would pick the zig zags but it really depends on what type of riding you're going to be doing. For strictly free ride I would go with the flashbacks, and if you're doing a little bit of everything I'd recommend the zigs

    -Tristan

  • @LongboardingReview thanks! i moing to be doing strictly freeridem and idk if i should get zigzags classic' or grippins (both 78a)....?

    thanks,

  • @HueleStakas If it were me I would get the zig zags! but either choice will be fun for sure, theres no going wrong with Abec thane IMO

    -Tristan

  • @LongboardingReview thanks man big help!!!

  • What board is that?

  • @MrLongbord23 A prototype for the Lifelong Seeker! The pre-sale just recently ended but cross your fingers for the official release to be in February!

  • @MrLongbord23 A prototype for the Lifelong Seeker! The pre-sale just recently ended but cross your fingers for the official release to be in February!

  • do these specimens slide more easily then the stims? you look like Paul McCartney.

  • @roly4642 I have found that the flashbacks slide more easily and cleanly than stims, but I also enjoy stims because side-set wheels are really slippery, to the point where I don't have confidence hitting corners. So flashbacks would be for strictly sliding, and stims I would recommend for more all around riding. If you think I look like paul Check out our other reviews! Peter (the other dude) looks just like Owen Wilson hahaha

    -Tristan

  • @LongboardingReview hahha indeed he does!!!

  • every thing positive about the wheels is true, i have a set of 78as and theyre sooo butter

  • do they coned easy?

  • @flipi5859 they will cone but with flashbacks it won't matter because the outer lips provide little to no amount of grip, as they are side set! So even if they cone it won't cause any issues!

    -Tristan

  • i wish i could buy a set. they are sold out everywhere! :(

  • Seeker, Fixdeesz, and freerides. Can't wait for this board to drop!

  • @15Citrus51 @pll1993 anyone want to sell me a Lifelong Seeker? I was going to buy one but the presale was over as soon as i was about to purchase it that day. Please let me know if you guys know anyone wanting to sell! thanks!

  • @SaltyWooHoo Quoted from the Lifelong facebook page: "If you weren't able to pick up a Pre-Sale Seeker, don't worry--the production version will be making its debut in a couple weeks so stay tuned for more info..."

    Stoked!

  • So 81a or 84a?

  • @bobbymay2509 It is all personal preference, but a majority of riders will agree with me when I say the softer the better :) Go for the 81a you won't be disappointed

    -Tristan

  • thane lines???!

  • @MrJoey2miles Recently Abec 11 has switched from Classic thane to a "Morethane" that holds up amazingly and slides just like classic thane wheels would, but they won't paste thane lines all over the road :(

    -Tristan

  • @LongboardingReview if im not mistaken morthane hasn't come out yet

  • @naptownlongboarding I recently skated both old Abec 11 freerides and new ones. The old ones had the classic thane feel with fat lines and crazy wear, and the new ones had the smooth classic thane feel with minimal wear and even less amounts of thane lines. I could be wrong but it is two different thanes, so I am assuming it is the morthane. Also, I'm pretty sure the morthane was released with the center set freerides! You definitely could be right though hahaha

    -Tristan

  • @naptownlongboarding I just did a little research on this and Chris Chaput recently made a statement saying that it is NOT morthane so you are right there! He said something must have happened with a urethane pour which resulted in the pseudo-morthane! Everything should be going back to the real classic thane soon! My mistake!

    -Tristan

  • Just got this board....titsssss

  • Please review your board!! :D

  • Please review the seeker! :D:D

  • hey can anyone tell me how the w concave on the seeker is compared to the rayne avenger? also does it make your foot cramp when you push with the continuous W concave of the seeker?

  • @SaltyWooHoo I have found that its a much more comfortable w than the pleasure dome as it doesn't come to as defined of a peak at the top of the w. don't think of it like a raise in the middle of the concave but 2 sections being dropped creating a spine in the deck. In my opinion pushing on the w is not that bad and is totally manageable so long as your not looking to do any really long distance pushing!

    -Tristan

  • @15Citrus51 awesome. im really thinking about buying this board for an all-arounder. freeriding and dh racing. how do caliber 44's run on it? any bite?

  • @SaltyWooHoo I run 44s on mine for DH, and some freeride. No bite. With the flushmounting, you can even throw a riser in to be safe and not notice a real difference in height.

  • @pll1993 fuck yea! i cant wait to buy this thing. its got everything i want in a board. rocker, w concave, double kicks, topmount. definitely one of a kind!

  • You inspired me to give these a shot Tristan.. have to say they're my new favorite wheels! Absolutely amazing when set up with a Seeker and Surf-rodz..

  • SUCH a fun set up! strangely enough i just recently threw some abec freerides on mine. something about classic thane, surf rodz, and a seeker just goes together so well :)

  • how fast can you get these downhill before you are going to start getting problems (yes I know they are not downhill wheels) I'm getting 75a

  • @Drofeddamite It really depends on the hill you're riding, I know taking sharp turns on the flashbacks for me was a little bit sketchy because they're rather easy to slide out. But if your riding on a hill with gradual turns it should not be a huge issue and you can get going pretty fast!

    -Tristan

  • what wheels are like these? and if i weigh like 100 pounds should i get 78a or 81a (i want like a buttery smooth wheel but a bit icy)?

  • abec 11 flashbacks vs metro motions?

  • @HueleStakas both are really different wheels. not saying either of them are bad wheels because I've spent a lot of time on both its just they are different wheels. metros have a much icier slide where as the flashbacks you have a more noticeable connection to the road, which means the wheels are wearing and your slowing down. both are enjoyable its just all about personal preference

  • @15Citrus51 are metro motions predictable?

  • @HueleStakas Very predictable. Check out my review on this channel.

    -Peter

  • as expected another fantastic review, great videos guys:)

  • Yes I fucking love this channel! Make more reviews!!!

  • @pafreeriders more on the way baby, dont you worry!

  • @pafreeriders Let us know what products you want us to review!!!

  • @15Citrus51 EVERYTHING!!!! Trucks wheels decks!!!!

  • @15Citrus51 venom tweakers, comet grease hammer

  • @TupacLongboarded I could review tweakers. i could review the hell outta those.

  • @pll1993 sum dem up right now brah

  • @pll1993 We can do a video, but in short: tweakers are rad. They're kinda like metros, grip and feel of a softer wheel, but it doesn't feel like you're shedding thane every slide. That being said, they hold up DAMN well, and are super resilient. Slide real smooth, shed a lot of speed, great wear pattern. Definitely worth the investment.
