usually, you do the memorization while already starting the timer, and then you do the solve.

I would be very happy to do speed BLD at a WCA competition, if it were an official event again (it probably will be back in a few years, at least months). And the world record does go near the 30 second level (especially since we're talking unofficial here).

The only problem in all of these vidoes is that there's never anything to totally prove that people didn't just memorise the cube and then pretend to solve it. I'm not accusing you of cheating, this video is great, I'm just saying that unless it's a video of an official competition or something, don't expect people to believe you.

No, you guys don't get it. This is a speed blindfold solve. You time only the execution of the resolution. The method of solution is completely different from where you do a basic blindfolded. He's using a layer by layer method, whereas a regular blindfold solve calls for a 3-cycle method, or piece-by piece.
