I'm an Orthodox Christian and have no problem listening to this mantra everyday,it makes me very peaceful,happy and fulfilling.=ЗI like this version of the mantra and also the version sung by Ani Choying Drolma.Everytime i listen and recite this song,it's like i can feel electricity or shivers coursing through my whole body and a bit of pressure on my head.I'm most of the time overwhelmed with emotions of empathy,moments of sadness,sometimes anger and afterwards instantly moments of joyandbliss.

@jaedenahmed - I think that that's great that you're still able to appreciate the music, even though you don't take from the religious aspects. I am the same way - I am not Muslim (I'm interested in Buddisim and Wicca and...well, I'm interested in many religions), but I have heard some beautiful Muslim music. There is one particular one I love, a call to prayer that is so beautiful that I think anyone can enjoy it.

depends what you define as normal. if normal is a repressed/restricted heart (which society/environment/mental programming creates though prison (miss"education") system, harsh langauge, force, military weapons, a win-lose mentality, capitalism, selfishness, dont give a f attitude, etc, a non-dharma, non-buddhist mind/heart i.e. the environment, much of mainstream, populus society, then no). If normal = sanity, truth, love, a soft (good) heart, then yes. Hold on 2ur truth
