lol you can see americas true intentions by looking not at there militarys actions, but by how much it consumes. the american abrams is fast, but its a short range gas guzzler. you litterally have to have convoys of fuel follow it close behind or they become useless. european tanks are so much better.
but i guarentee (how ever u spell it) that they arent as nearly as powerful as the abrams. maybe faster and a better fuel capacity giving it better distance. thats good for armies who dont have enough supplies but then they sacrifice fire power. It depends on resources.
@allstar51788 actually, almost all modern battle tanks boast a 120mm main gun. it has pretty much become the standard. the 120 in the m1a2 is actually german designed. the difference between the abrams and european MBTs and the reason the m1 needs so much fuel for its borderline excessively powerful engine is the armor load. where the 40-50 ton european tanks use reactive armor, the 60+ ton abrams lugs around a foot-thick layer of virtually impenetrable depleted uranium armor! tough stuff!

Any tank can destroy any other tank with one shot at close range from the side or behind. But getting off the first shot, getting in that favorable position, let alone having a winning battle doctrine, strategy and leadership, are much more important questions.

Haha, the T-90 is practically rolling crap. It doesn't even have Chobham armor. The M1A2, believe it or not, could destroy it with a single shot, even to the front. And the T-90, is much more weaker in firepower. Comparing the 2 is like comparing the Shermans and King Tigers of WWII. And the T-90 is the inferior Sherman.

The M1A2 is nearly invincible. Just a few facts:
It can travel at 45 MPH fully loaded.
It can withstand almost any explosives, but there still are a few that can penetrate it.
It's armor is steel, secret composites, and Depleted Uranium.
Not a single M1A2 has been disabled or destroyed by an enemy tank.
