@mattsynth Hello, I really enjoyed your music and your synth set-up. I too would like to have the same set-up and would like to ask your opinion about your synths.
Fantom G - Is it a good Synth overall?
Prophet 08 - what is the feel of the keybed?
MiniMoog V - Is the investment worth it for a mono synth?
@cyganmarek Yes you can synchronise electribe with a Famtom just by using midi clock. Make sure the Famtom is sending clock out on the system page and the electribe is set to external midi clock. It will even send stop, start and reset messages so it stays in time every time you start your sequencer.
love it matt, brilliant track, wonderful progression, and the vid and sound quality is great too:):)......i just get jealous looking at all that gear W O W:) Again, the drums sound superb.(listening) ...a really sweet synth lead just came in at 4.26..mmmmm..love that
Thanks Mik, been moving the studio to another location these days and have not been able to play that much. As you know "all the wires" are taking some time in getting the studio back up working. Should have something new soon.
What stands out is your recording technique and composing ablity. Real talent here...you make really fine music. Enjoyable and sonically variegated so it keeps the listener engaged. Good stuff. --Sam
Hi Matt, this is Dave from Belgium. Great studio, lots of cool gear, and hey wow what sounds you produce, 5 stars from me! More moodful tracks like this are very welcome. Keep up the good work :)
Just watched this again, truly...this is my ideal studio set-up. Just as a starter, what recording software are you using? I have been given Ableton 7 , not used it yet , but has great "on the fly" stuff, When I eventually go down the software route I want a program that emulates simple sequencing, no tricks or complicated screens. Thanks Matt, and again, superb track*****
Hi Mik, I have been building this studio for many years and have used many different types of studio software but Cubase is by far the best. Cubase is a very professional mixing and recording software that remindes me of the old days with mixing boards and hardware effects. Sound quality from Cubase is outstanding and recording and editing audio is as easy as it gets. I have been using Cubase for over 15 years now and have found nothing better. Pro Tools comes in second.
Holy crap Matt, I only came over here to check your in the US and found this.........3 things....I am completely in awe of that studio and gear and your talent...I'm not sending you the CD, I'm too embarrassed and........can we swap studios:)!
Thanks for the comment, it took many years to collect such a massive studio. The trick is not to sell anything you purchase because some day you will wish you had that equipment back.
A lot of people ask me that question. Soft synths are fun also and can sound great (like Arturia Moog Modular) but they can be a pain & costly to keep upgrading. Every time you buy another computer or the OS changes you have to upgrade all your VST synths. Hardware synths will work the same 20 years from now without any upgrades. And there is something about all them realtime knobs and sliders that just makes it a lot more fun.
No, not rich just been playing for a long time. Collected the synth throughout the years, most of them second hand. Roland makes the best sounding synth's on the planet. The Phantom G is one of them. The big screen makes it very easy to program. More videos to come. Thanks
This studio beats the daylights out of my cave in the basement. I'd kill for the lighting alone never mind the gear. I'm hoping there is a sequel or prequel to this beautiful instrumental. I'll be waiting...
My basement is where I started building this studio many years ago. Keep playing, keep building, and most of all have fun. More videos to come. Thanks
The keyboards themself work great it is the software that gives me trouble from time to time. Sometimes I spend more time fixing and updating software then making music.
Thank you for your kind comment. I am glade you like the piece. I do not use the built in mike on the camera for audio, instead I record the music and drop it into the video later. Much cleaner that way.
absolut fantastic *****

Hi mate, well done!
Could you tell me please , is your electribe synchronised with fantom g? If yes , how i can do that?
Thank you
