@owncompany every drum has its own microphone, there are two more overhead microphones. All channels have corrections applied. Every channel has a dynamics compressor applied and the whole mix also sounds compressed. That's what I was able to make out from hearing, I might be wrong with the compressors tho.
the drums sound shit when their not mixed, prob why i always have trouble tuning my dw`s, like the bloke always said down the drum shop, u`ll never having soung as good as going through mics!!! no shit he was right, awesome drumming though, i have a ocdp 12x6 type 2 silver sparle off set lugs drum just sitting in its hard case :( not doubt he is weepin
I had a Peace Paragon Maple 14x7, 12x7, 14x12, 16x13, 22x22 set up. The 22x22 was way too boomy and it took time to tame. It had a gut wrenching bottom end but that took time after numerous head changes/gaffer tape etc.
Thanks. OCDP actually uses the RIMS mounting system so the drums can "move and resonate more naturally". It's supposed to limit the connection to the stand so the sound stays true to the drums and doesn't travel through the hardware.

10x12, 14x16, and 18x22. The kit I have now is 8x12 for the rack tom. I want to try a 20x22 or 22x22 kick someday.
