He talks about the big picture stuff perfectly. though he couldn't say what specific legislation he wants to get rid of. Is he going to be able to convince people of his big picture ideas? some, but if he had a legitimate plan to repeal a few big issues. He would make a much better candidate. He needs to talk about specifically what he is going to do.
I'm not from Connecticut so I just looked on Google Maps to see what Guilford looks like... yeah it's one of those towns that just has a Wal-Mart and that's about it... Now I see why the ICE SKATING is so exciting and important to these people.
Apparently not one of these people is concerned about where he stands on Iraq and Afghanistan, nor Iran for that matter. By that assessment, this might be an extremely rural town. If not, then these people need a little more personality.
This room collected all of the morons you can find in CT! These people are so stupid... they even didn't have questions to ask! Gee... and then we're wondering how our country got to this point? Look no further, here is the answer!
@nick10463 I don't know man. I think there are a lot more morons in CT than just this room. Just see how many people believed in CHANGE Obama promoted. I have to say I was one, too. and Peter Schiff woke me up.
Yeah, tough crowd. I'm not really sure what the crowd was expecting. And yeah, what was up with the question about selling tax losses? Peter is still a very cool customer, answering every question even if it's ridiculous.
Yes, but so would the Barney Franks, Nancy Poloskis, Chris Dodds, John Mccains, etc of congress. If you ask Ron Paul which would be better, he would tell you that he rather be a doctor than a politician. Yes, the political machine would pick a new guy, but then it would cost them more. Imagine paying a new guy to push your own agenda every 6 years, that will cost the political machinery a lot more money than they do now.
I think the last speeach he gave in Bridgeport (The one before this one) was the best till now. Peter the short speeches are much more powerfull!! Just 15 minutes max and than already take quistens!
I totally agree with you Schram. I was going to say the same thing about the Bridgeport speech. When he condenses his introduction, he's more succinct, he packs more punch, & is even funnier. He cut out the right parts at Bridgeport. It's a good model for future speeches.
His speech was diferent from other ones. He's talkt to much about himself and his past, and started to late on the g0vernement stimules and the coming crisis. This growd is shit and I don't think he will get the nomination, because he's to extreme for most people. I'm sorry and I'm hope I'm wrong, because years off Peter Schiff clips from the senate are priceless.
Tough crowd. Did I really hear one of those old raisins say she wanted to get home to watch the ice skating? Go home and watch the f*&ing ice skating then, prune lady. and the other guy crying about bedtime. Then we have a question about selling tax losses??? This is her big question. Geez, what a bunch of morons. Reminds me of an old scene out of the Simpsons at the retirement home.
I've never been so dissapointed by a Peter Schiff audience! What a shameful bunch of idiots!! I've always said its not the politicians that are the problem, but all the fools that put them there. And these folks can't wait to get home so they can watch the Olympics?!?! Disgusting!
Terrible participation in Guilford... wow. What's the point of having meetings if they are in a hurry to watch the Olympics? Every town is going to have different dynamics that Peter will have to adjust to on the campaign trail.
that lady is such an idiot. What is she going on with such a non-issue.

This is probably the 5th time someone has asked for a SPECIFIC bill Peter would repeal, and he still hasn't done it.
Maybe it's because he doesn't want someone to call him on it, or maybe he just doesn't know.

Term limits?
If we had term limits Ron Paul would have been out of congress a long time ago. The political machine would pick a new front man to run.
American people need to take responsiblity and VOTE them out.

Guilford Republicans care more about ice skating than economic collapse?

I haven't watched a singel olympic challenge this year, but I have watched every singel Peter Schiff videos that has been posted.
Schiff is the King on Economics... If people want jobs, I'm sure there is nobody better for the job than Peter Schiff.
Creating jobs in high regulative, high tax counties is like shopping in the stores with the highest prices.
And to think that the government can create productive efficient jobs is totally nonsense!

Definatly see a difference in the different town halls and their reactions.
Have to say I am a bit disapointed in the crowd here.
Could you post some of the other candidates that speak before and after Peter? Would like to see their different views and how they answer questions.
