Hillary was merely asking why so many people were saying it was wrong of her to stay in the race at this "late" date. The implication being that because of her, Obama won't have enough time to campaign in the general election.

She answers, Bill didn't wrap up his nomination until the middle of June, and she went on to say that Bobby Kennedy was still campaigning when he was killed in June of 1968. At that time, he was farther behind than Hillary is now and NO ONE was telling him to quit.

The reference to the assassination was a memory jogger. Anyone who lived thru it vividly remembers that Bobby was killed in JUNE. He was in 2nd place at the time, and the race was FAR from settled and NO ONE was telling him to drop out.
