So, like Mathieu Mabin, we must conclude units like "Sam's" unit, composed of both ordinary ex pats from America & Europe (some of who havad had short military experience w/ American and European armies; most likely never held a gun before) and real "insiders" controlled/fielded by rebel commanders like Albdul Hakim Belhadj..... they're the real heroes who were among the first wave to sacrifice themselves, in order to take Gaddafi's compounds...

Unless there were even more "special forces" units fighting ahead of "Sam's" group --- & there could've been "mercenary" American, French, & Brit "detachments" from their official jobs --- being paid huge sums by the NTC to "take Tripoli" & in which case France24 was not able/allowed to film... unless that's the case... French reporter Mathieu Mabin's correct: these "ordinary" Libyans, the "special forces" with "Sam," didn't fight/act like "detached" US & European "special forces."
