  • lmfao dave hits an armbar directly following a de le riva sweep, and the guy wants to fight him... I always find it funny when guys get completely dominated and then want to fight the guy... the result is going to be the same as the first time only in a fight he won't let go.

  • I have even greater respect for David after seeing how he reacts after the match. He ultimately showed who was the bigger man between the two.

  • Camarillo is such a badass.

  • omg...he is a BLACK BELT???!!!!!wtf??!!! i learned first day in class a magic preventing-all-wounds word... T A P .Guess he omitted that class

  • what a douche

  • Wow, douchy mc-doucherson. Maybe tap next time and Dave won't have to break your arm.

  • Edson's pride was his worst ememy. He should have tapped sooner, thus having Dave release his arm bar.

  • Wow that pissed me off

  • Looooser

  • WOW! Was that a kung-fu kick at the end?!

  • Wow what a loser

  • Never understood the logic behind trying to fight someone after they just whooped your ass.

  • LOL Edson is probably the didnt like in this video.

  • Edson its a fucking BJJ blackbelt, he knows how powerful a rolling armbar is.

If he is such an idiot that cant realize such danger then he shouldnt be competing at blackbelt level, when he was "trying to tap" it was too late already and he didnt yelled tap or made sudden motions.

Basically he played it and he lost it. dont fuck with Camarillo.

  • He didn't tap when he knew he was screwed, our coach( Dave) did what you're suppose to do, crank even more till the bastard gets out of his "wanna be macho man" mentality and taps.

    It wasn't his fault

  • By what I see I think the guy was just about to tap and didn't...so it's his fault. With any choke or lock, it's the defenders fault for not tapping, and taking the armbar too far? Look at jacare he fought Roger Gracie with a broken arm because he didn't tap

  • He did seem to hold it a little long. And I'm a big Camarillo fan. But that kick was inexcusable.

  • ALWAYS TAKE THE ARM HOME WITH YOU! in competition

  • Pretty sure that you can say TAP. Much more efficient then screaming like a little girl.

  • I am a huge fan of Dave Camarillo... but Dave does have a history of taking people's arms too far...

  • wow 1 mistake and dave got em haha made him scream like the girl he was that cheap shot was 1 of the worst cheap shots i have ever seen...i wanna learn jj from eithier him or eddy bravo

  • I think Dave went too far with the armbar. wasn't necessary. and the guy actually tapped once with his left hand. but it was a beautiful transition though.

  • @granzein Dave has never been anything less than a gentleman. He would never intentionally hurt another person for no reason. BJJ can be dangerous at times and Dave is well aware of that. If it went too far then it was the other schmuck's(what's his name?) fault for not tapping earlier. That guy is lucky Dave is who he is. If Dave were a lesser man, the other guy may have gotten hurt because of his stupid antics.

  • @GGGeoff well said.

  • @granzein

He brazilian tapped as Camarillo was finishing a rolling armbar, my guess is that Edson was trying to pull a brazilian tap. No shit.

  • Notice how Dave handled himself there?--with class. Wish I could say that about the other guy (what's his name? Who cares.).

    Success is the best revenge....

  • it was a cool sweep right into an armbar.

  • What a fucking sore loser, Camarillo should have stamped on his head.

  • The guy tried tapping with his left hand at 03:04.

  • Seriously, from 1:32-3:04 reminded me of a Mantis working its prey. Absolutely exciting to watch.

  • o idiota de branco naw sabe perder

  • That was an amazing footsweep.

  • Loved the transition to the armbar, I wish I could do ithat n Judo.

  • what a bitch

  • I've seen white belts with more respect then this douche, he disgraced himself

  • nasty armlock.

  • Dave should have broken that punk's arm!

  • WTF? Dave Camarillo is legit!

man, it's a shame that guy with that kinda attitude hold a blackbelt in BJJ.

Dave was classy even when he was kicked,

BJ flipped during the competition for opponent holding on the legcrank after the bell.

  • what a fag, he shoudl go wash gis for a living instead of wearing one, where he train at? DIS-gracie jiu jitsu? haha

  • @nicoyanicoya hahah dis-gracie nice

  • Camarillo is a badass. Other dude is a sore loser.

  • I agree. At that level of competition I would want to secure the win too. Camarillo is just a badass.

  • Edson will only be remembered for being a poor sport. Admit it Edson you were out classed!

  • Dave has 1 hell of a grip w/c comes from his JUDO background. Judokas are sooo strong. Dave once said he'd rather go thru an MMA training day than Judo.

  • @oluwakamau

I trained for a few months at the same gym as Dave but I never had the pleasure of meeting or training with him. He looks like a class act and a great fighter. Also, in regards to your comment about Judo, I just started Judo last week and I can wholeheartedly agree that it can be extremely intense. That being said, I'm excited to kick some ass at tournaments! Hopefully, haha

  • Tough one it looked to me he was verbally tapping during the roll and afterwards was like why was it necessary not to let go. I'd be pissed too, not justifying the kicking though.

  • @respeezy Let me know the point where he is verbally tapping? I turned it up in surround and the only noise is from the spectators. Everyone knows you stop when the ref stops, otherwise you may prematurely release and the ref may not have seen the tap. This case was pure poor sportsmanship.

  • dude! that was slick as hell! that comes to show how different bjj is with clothing on or a gi...man!

  • Damn...Dave is a class act... My reaction would have probably been to compare the effects of his kick to my heel stomp to the face.

  • Superior Judo, superior Jujitisu.

  • Dam sore loser......

  • what a classy bad ass

  • what a lil bitch.

I knew he'd be a bitch when he first started doing that fancy shit tryin to fuck with Dave.

Better watch himself when he fucks around with my coach.

actin like a fuckin 5 year old who didn't get his lollipop

  • Did he say, "That's ground shit, keep it standing!" before he kicked him? Awesome submission and great sportsmanship by Dave.

  • Lol it doesnt matter if the guy is in pain.... That does not mean they are tapping out... Dave did nothing wrong.

  • I was impressed by Mr. Camarillo's humbleness

  • im not a black belt .. im a white.. but it is hard to notice a tap when ur trying to win in a tournament.. idk if the blackbelt is having the same issue with me, but if u watch some of my tourny vids... the guy taps and i still apply the armbar a bit more THEN i realize hes tapping..

  • @Sal1the1great

That's actually typical of a beginner white belt. At Black Belt they should have more control.

  • The guys was yelling out in pain...Dave just released a bit to late but I don't condone the kick. Bad sportsmanship.

  • @flowjitsu1337 You can scream for your mother, but if you don't tap your fair game, and most everyone who knows better will wait for the ref to stop it before releasing, no different then in football when you tell players to not stop playing until they hear a whistle.

  • dave is the man!

  • Was the guy in white yelling while Dave applied the armbar?

  • Everyone knows that. Me thinks that's a bit off topic. Dave is apparently the man though. Love those foot sweeps.

  • Camarillo is class and a true Martial Artist anyone who got kicked like that would've got angry but he controled his emotions. Demonstration of true essence of Martial Arts: controling yourself.

  • should have broken his arm

  • what an absolute loser that guy is

  • wow amazing reversal and flying armbar at the end right there by camarillo. and camarillo was trying to show his respects and check if the guy was ok... and the guy tryed to kick him ;p

  • camarillo brothers must come to nyc AND STAY

  • what the hell was that guys problem?

  • I have only trained with Dave once and it was a awesome experience that I would like to have again. One of the best.

  • should ve tapped!

  • Q coisa + erótica!! testosterona gritando ali!!

  • i'm not saing 'the fighter i right' not that all, but the another fighter do not let go ... tham after the saruman give up the fight ... you can see .. saruman scream for quit the fight ... but david keep pressing the arm on the arm bar ... that's suck for sport

  • LOOOSER

  • great figther in black gi, and very nice juji gatame!

  • The guy in black is David "Dave" Camarillo a top level competitor with victories over many top competitors including Eddie Bravo. He holds black belts in Judo (second generation) and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. He's the founder of his own style he calls "Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu."

  • ? You actually dont make any sense. Think about where Brazillian JiuJitsu came from.. Judo.. Why not hate on them then?

Guerrilla JiuJitsu is a combination of the Fast Pace National Judo Style mixed with Judo. Its actually a big difference.

Remember the Gracies claiming they took Judo and threw out what they did not think would be usefull. Well, We put all that Judo back in the game.

    Have a nice day.

  • I meant to say Judo mixed with Jiujitsu..

Anyway.. You cant hait on people creating their own style, Its actually what the Gracies did. They did not come up with their completely own Style. You can look at any older Judo book and find pretty much the same jiujitsu moves, Even Leg Locks...

  • I dont know about Eddie style.. But Nino is world class, I trained with him for a year. What do you mean Circus stuff?

Do you mean Our style? Our style mixes Judo, why is that so hard for you to understand? Is it because you cant handle the speed and technique at the same time? Should we try to slow it down for you?

Since the Gracies founded JiuJitsu, why are you not yelling at the Machados for calling it Machado JiuJitsu?

    Stop being a hypocrite

  • It's OK, you Brazillians just hate Eddie for tapping out Royler.

  • Sonny boy took him to the deep end and drowned him....He's a disgrace to his school, his teacher and his students for displaying that kind of non-martial artist behavior....

Completely out of line and should be heavily disciplined and suspended from competion for a substantial period of time TO INCLUDE a formal letter of apology to DC and the ref!

  • If Edson Missio was so mad about the result they should have rolled again. I would wager on the same outcome.

  • he should have tapped if he didnt want to get hurt...ego.....not gonna save your ligaments douche drip

  • Edson Missio got schooled

  • Edson Missio is a fucking twat. I would have punched the little cunt if he kicked me in the head like that.

  • poor sportsmanship on edson's part. what a sore loser lol

  • No kidding. The real test of a man is how he handles losing.

  • @dombone76 i'm pretty sure he got pissed off because he tapped during the roll and neither the ref nor camarillo noticed. kicking him was a bit over the top but please don't sit on the internet like ignorant neckbeards and judge people over things.

  • Edson looked like a BITCH!!! Dave was offering his hand

  • What a shitty move on Edson's part! I didn't even see a tap, and it's not exactly like Dave was cranking that armbar anyway. What a childish outburst on a man that just beat you.

  • wait til you see John Baylon from the Philippines, he is a 6th degree Kodokan Judoka and a bjj Blackbelt from Academia Az fromTokyo, he defeated Mike Fowler last year while he was still Brown belt in bjj

  • dave is sick, but bj handled him in a no gi match. i would like to see both of them compete against each other in a gi match though.

  • when was this? is there a video floatin around?

  • the video is called dave and bj, it's on youtube.

  • I'm studying Kodokan Judo right now, but when I'm in the Bay Area again I hope to study under Dave - guerilla is arguably more like Kodokan than regular judo.

Side note: Who the hell throws a spiteful kick like that when the other guy offers you a hand up? Dave clearly has a great sense of honor and humility - I'd love to learn from him.

  • i thought the Kodokan was regular judo?

  • Kodokan is the original martial art form. When judo was introduced into the Olympics in Japan they added a lot of rules for safety and also to favor throws for excitement (limited submissions, stand-ups, etc). Most dojos in the US practice sport judo so at this point I refer to it as regular judo.

  • I see thanks, i do BJJ but im going to take up Judo soon hopefully after i earn my faixa azul.

  • Isso demonstra o que é ser um lixo de atleta, agredir o adversário depois de perder....é um lixo

  • Mad spider guard. Good sub. He did tap before he rolled him deeper into the sub tho... The kick showed what Missio is all about. Pity he didn't have some sand to throw in his eyes as well.

  • thats my jiu jitsu coach! GO DAVE! that other guy is a sore loser

  • pusseta

  • Edson has poor sportsmanship. he knew that he lost his position & got pnowned by Dave. Dave even in victory is humble! Dam I hope he comes to NYC and do seminar.

  • Dave has sick control with the Spider Guard to De La Riva hook, that was a nice judo Tomoe Nage sweep into the armbar. Missio is a piss poor loser, Camarillo clearly had the submission, he didn't hold it for too long either, Missio just didn't want to tap cause of his ego. He came out trying too look like he's 110% with his shifty movements but when it comes down to technique Camarillo owned it and he couldn't handle it. Missio is in no position to challenge Dave in MMA with his bitch kick

  • Dave Camarillo is the best when combining Judo with BJJ. Almost like Kosen Judo with finesse.

  • just saw the kick and that was real disrespectful considering he was only tring to help him up. Its one thing to be a sore loser if the other guy is an asshole but dave made it clear that he didnt mean to hurt him and was sorry he was holding the sub so long.

  • sick spider guard.

  • Second vid I've seen an opponent go after Dave following a schooling. Why pick a fight with someone that just spanked your ass??? lol

  • ...I know it sounds funny and it would be if it was MMA...but...it's really not a fight when you're limited in what techniques you're allowed to do, in the case of bjj and other grappling arts-no striking, lol. I see the point you're making though and I probably wouldn't pick a fight with someone who defeated me in anything...just because it would look bad on my part.

  • Yeah I was just being funny. I'm a shabby rusty purple that hasn't trained consistently in two years, but in the case of a bar brawl I am the one that my brown and black belt buddies would want on their side more than anybody. hehe

  • pshh...guy should be happy Dave didn't whup his ass after he kicked him at the end. I've seen Dave spar with Josh Thomson and he's got some skills.

  • i dont think that was edson who was "screaming", but someone who was watching who was just getting excited. but i agree with posts below mine, edson was completely classless and dave is the man.

  • What a disrespectful punk. Acts like a little freaking kid. Childish!!

  • nice dela riva sweep to armbar..dave is amazing..and edson is a soar loser..like jayz said "you can pay for school, but you can't buy class"

  • Typical...if you can't stand the heat, don't cook motherfucker!!! He knew the rules and the risks before he entered the game. He's probably done the same shit to others that Dave did to him, so it's too bad. That's combat. I love how Dave does th humble bowing after getting kicked in the had...LOL!!

  • Dave is the man. Fucking poor sport kicked him. Had there been striking and malice allowed Dave would have taken this guys lunch money.

  • hahaha thank you... that is the best comment ever..

  • it was a sick arm bar set up though

  • dave was in the wrong. he didnt have to completely roll to his side. his opponent was tapping and screaming beofre he even rolled over.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

    Dave owns. So smooth

  • gidva, in those pro comps, unless the ref stops the fight, its not over. dave cant let go becuase if the ref doesnt see it, then the fight will continue... dave was correct in not letting go

  • I wanted to punch Edson in the f'ing face.

  • @jojoclown777

Not as much as I am sure Dave wanted to post kick in the fucking head. That Dave kept his cool is pretty astonishing.

  • Camarillo is a bad ass...if there was striking and malice involved that other dude would be toast.

  • typical brazilian sore sport.

  • Learn to tap, not just grab his knee.

  • All I could when he sailed in with that armbar was, holy shit where did that come from? Nicely done.

  • at 1:10..that footsweep was lightning fast man...

  • A person can be very atletic, very good. But if we dont have care for the other person and keep cranking the arm after the tap.

It takes all the atributes mentioned earlier.

  • It's not always that easy to feel a tap during a competition. I do blame the ref for not stopping it sooner.

That guy knew the risks though, and kicking Camarillo in the head like that merits a thorough ass kicking. You just don't do that.

I hope Camarillo hurt him bad.

  • So.... let me pick a fight with the guy that just beat me? Maybe if I anger him, he won't be able to defeat me?

  • I was thinking the same thing as you until i watched the video just now, and I reason the guy probably thought Dave was trying to break his arm on purpose.....

im kind of wondering why Dave didnt swing at him after the head kick...

  • dave camarillo is awesome.Nice footsweep. His judo is good and his bjj is excellent. That guy acted like a sore looser.Should be penalized for poor sportmanship. He got owned and did not like it.

  • No he explains later on his bulletin board that his judo mentality kicked in and was waiting for the ref to yell IPPON, and he said , that ref proly should have stopped it, guy could have tapped but he got cought in an akward manner

  • i seen him over at AKA in san jose, he is a machine , like me .

  • that was a blowhard move lol

  • bj vs dave

  • should of fuckin snapped it dave godam brasillian pigs

  • nice foot sweep!

  • Judo and BJJ or peanut butter & jelly as Rhadi coined it.

  • camarillo did not break his arm he's my BJJ instructor i know for fact he didnt

  • hahaha that is funny

    Daves armbar is no joke

  • I didn't even see a tap. the guy just put his hand on dave's leg. poor loser.

  • No when he got the armbar they were already in motion from grappling once it was applied he couldnt tap because he his free arm was trapped for a BRIEF moment which of course in the HEAT of competition David didnt let go untill he probably heard the scream. Needless to say referees in judo/jujitsu suck, they need high calibur referee like UFC John McCarthy

  • nice

  • crazy setup

  • Very nice, poor sportsmanship on the other guys part.

  • Excellent reversal and transition to armbar Carmillo knows his stuff. If he held the armbar to long well that does not warrant a kick. The guy is just pissed because he got schooled.

  • This is one bad looser.

  • damn, Dave was classy. He tried to apologize and the guy just kicked him.

Btw, Dave has a sick grip

  • Damn that was a beautiful set up! The other guy didn't see it happen. And yes, sore loser.

  • fukin looser!

  • Dave is an amazing stylist and he did keep his cool really well.

  • Dave's all class. Plus how many times a fella gotta be told "WATCH YOUR ARM BRO!!" lol

  • Most of us couldnt hold our cool. Good job Dave.

  • Oh come one,do you have no self control whatsoever? That's BS. Anyone who practices submission grappling should be used to being submitted and be able to do so without showing bad sportsmanship, let alone try to kick the guy who won, that shows very little self discipline, most practitioners have a lot more control than that over their emotions.

  • Dave, my coach, is the one in the black gi who submitted missio. I dont get your comment.

  • I apologize,I misinterpretted your comment- 'most of us couldn't keep our cool'- thought you were excusing the actions of the poor sportsman. Excellent discipline by Dave, I totally agree.

  • Beat him technically and with absolute class!

  • Actually, upon rewatching WITH SOUND, I take it back.

  • Well i cannot hear anything, but I see him tapping at 03:04 during the roll.

  • I disagree. Looked like the guy didn't tap until the roll.

    At any rate, SMOOTH transition!

  • I'm a fan...but he did hold on a little long...

  • ....

  • hahah dave you bully

  • Dave is the bomb, his DVD series are way cool.

  • he has the crazy eye!

  • Fantastic !
