  • Thanks! very helpful!

  • I did this once. I bashed the fishes head on the ground to kill it then I cleaned it and threw the guts in the lake. Some seagulls ate it... I almost puked in my soup. (random details)

  • @uberdood555 Are you a yuppie? lol

  • @DuceQuestionMark No, I'm Canadian. You know, the country Americans seem to like making fun of?

  • nice vid

    cool dude

  • Remindss me of my grandfather cleaning bass, but he used an electric knife.

  • can i fish please

  • Thank you. Nice job. Now teach me how to catch a fish.

  • nice job made it look easy

  • Awesome! I am new to the trade and this video is really helpful. Thanks for your post!

  • good filleting. you are the best bass filleting on youtube I have seen so far. others were doing it wrongly and wasting a lot of meat. this one guy on youtube even cut out the muscle meat part of a bass, what a waste and ridiculous, he only got 20% meat from that fish haha.

  • thanks, man

  • This is VERY instructional! Great job! Very intuitive!

  • This is the best method, but I personally use a skinner just because it's quicker. When you're starving and have a whole cooler full of perch and crappie, quicker is better.

  • hey .....didn't he wasted alot amount of fish?

nearly 30% of the fish is thrown away!!!!

    what says....

  • excellent video - thank you for sharing and showing all of us how it's done!!

  • instead of cutting the meat and the skin off, you can leave them attached to the tail, flip it over, and then cut the meat off the skin. that way you will have the fish as leverage, instead of a little bitty hand hold.

  • great video bob. you can tell you really know what your doing. thanks for showing all the young fishermen and women out here how to do this correctly.

  • dude im with ever1 else this helped alot

  • dude thank you!!! very well described. again thank you :)

  • I have never cleaned a fish before, after watching this video I feel like I would be able to. Nice video!

  • Thank you for posting this. You explained everything very well. It really helped me a lot. You rock! ;)

  • that was one of the cleanest and smoothest fish clean jobs i have ever seen! Awsome Job!

  • that was very helpful. thank you BOB!

  • Thank you for the instructions!

  • you should never keep bass

  • we usually keep the fillets attached to the tail fin so that its easier to skin the meat.

  • Nice :)

  • Sorry about all the comments on this video, just trying to help some of the people out who asked questions. Anyway great vid.

  • You don't have to gut the fish first, there are no guts outside of the rib cage.

  • Nice vid.. :)

  • wonderful

  • Great instructional video! I don't fish but I cook and found I needed to learn how to fillet the fish a friend gave us. I don't think you could have made the process any plainer. Thanks!

  • Can I use some part of the fish as bait for other fish? (New to fishing lol)

  • In most states this is illegal, even if it where legal, the method probably wouldn't be as successful as standard bait.

  • what the hell? why bother even keeping a small bass like that? its all bone and skin...

  • We usually keep fish that size, you can get decent meat off of it. 5-7 of those is enough meat for 2 people.

  • i have alot of that in my bathroom

  • thanks! now when i catch my first fish (they kept eating my corn) i can skin it mehself!

  • ur nails are nasty

  • cut the tell off fry it and its like a potato chip

  • who the hell eats bass????

  • a lot of people there the number one game fish there really good. and on any fish cut the tell off fry it and its like a potato chip

  • I do

  • very helpful video

  • thanks. that was helpful.

  • Great video! Thanks, I'm going on a fishing and camping trip soon, so this is very helpful.

  • poor fishes !
