Koda Kumi, BoA, 東方神起, Namie Amuro, KAT-TUN, ... are all mainstream and sing live quite well... in fact some of those artists named dance even more difficult choreography and manage it well...

I watched Leah Dizon's other live videos (the ones superceding this single), and unfortunately, I didn't see that improvement. Not everyone's born to be a singer. She's pretty though; thus she's a perfect model, but not the perfect singer. I think noticing one's talent is also very important.
Yeah but she still has the chance, if a few years from now she still sounds like hell then she'll probably leave. Of course noticing one's talent is very important it's the essence of being a singer. However she still has time to improve but if she doesn't she can just focus on modeling and whatnot.
unfortunately, that may not happen. She got pregnant and gave birth to a baby this year, and in Japan (or any East Asian country), that's literally a career-killer. The only one who's really made it back after giving birth was Amuro Namie, and she had skills even before she gave birth... so we'll just have to see, won't we? Leah Dizon's record sales definitely reflects a negative trend (her last album sold only 10,000~ish copies)... so I wouldn't really expect much...
I'm not a fan either, I just expect a certain level of skills from the people who claim to be talented at what they do.
