We sang this song in my church and i dont think i felt the holy spirit become so powerful, it was amazing. Every hand was in the air, every foot was on the ground, everybody was dancing, singing and worshiping, let me tell you it was the greatest thing i have seen and felt in a long time. Why don't they play IHOP music on mainstream christian radio.....this would so radically change from the the self help watered down gospel to the good stuff!!

EVEN IF YOU AREN'T 12 KEEP PUSHING! There is no place in the bible where it mentions the shroud, so why believe it as though it were a matter of faith? BTW, a collision between the Christian world and my own would be weird, seeing as how they're the SAME WORLD. Don't assume things, it's bad form.

what proof do you have that science has disproven the existence of God? And how can they prove that their "evidence" is actual fact? Please provide proof of no God. Again, "I believe You will come like rain" is not to be taken literally. The second coming of Christ is never depicted as "rain" anywhere in the Bible. Also, regarding your thoughts on "rain" being a symbol for the Holy Spirit, there are many symbols used in the Bible to represent the Holy Spirit. Rain is not one of them. The dove is one. Others include wind, light, oil, and fire.
'Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord; his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth" (Hosea 6).

I do understand what you are referring to. However, the prophet Hosea was not referring to Christ's return. The "malqosh" was the spring rain, which fell in March and until the middle of April. It preceded and promoted the harvest. Hosea was implying that without our Lord, we are simply dry and thirsty ground, in desperate need of Him. This "need" is incredibly on both sides, for He longs to come to you with the "living water". God will refresh us and bring a harvest of joy into our lives.
When you study the Hebrew words in Hosea you'll understand that the he is not talking about the return of Christ. Misty is talking about Christ in this song. She says "You'll make all things new". She's referring to Christ upon His return. So exciting to know that He will dispell all darkness with His glorious light.
You are right but this song is not solely about the return of Christ, it is also a prayer to encounter God NOW, for he will make you new. She sings let it rain let it rain in same content as songs such as let it rain, open the floodgates of heaven, rain down etc.
"I believe You will come like rain" is not to be taken literally. Misty Edwards is using symbolism. Also, she's speaking of the second coming of Christ not His life before His ascension. The lyrics are strong and Holy Spirit inspired. This song is nothing but truth and is in agreement with God's Word.

God means many things to different people and religions. Christianity is very clear -- it's Father, Son and Holy Spirit. For the Jews there is no Jesus.
The lyrics are not clear. All things are new because Christ died on the cross for our sins. He didn't come like rain. He died and rose again. Stronger lyrics would have proclaimed what Jesus did and it wasn't being like rain unless you consider the blood/water that came from Jesus' side when the soldier pierced him.
Hey, sorry but you do have one thing wrong there. Ever heard of a Messianic Jew? They believe in the Father, Son, and the Holy Sprit. Follow both the old and new testament, and etc. So there are Jews who do believe in Jesus, and I am one of them :D
Indeed a Messianic Jew believes in the Trinity God -- but typically when a person refers to a Jewish person that person is still waiting for the Messiah. I am glad that you believe as you do. The song still is fuzzy on Jesus though.

When the rains finally come, you just want to go out and dance in it, and let it refresh your spirit. You see everything come to life, new leaves, new grass, flowers. Just a warm new freshness...
Life has droughts! Jesus coming to quench that dryness in your life is what is what keeps people singing songs like this. I am not downing you for my disagreement, but I wish you would know how it feels not so that you will stop making fun of others but more so you can feel the message of this song. onething is a conference held every Dec.28-31 in downtown Kansas City, MO. About 25,000 come each year to worship Jesus and learn more about HIM!

If you're not trying to bash on anyone then why do you feel the need to post this comment. There is no way for anyone to "prove" carbondating or any of that. It in itself is simply a theory. So then how can it's evidence be fact? I see the evidence of God every day when I see him do miracles. I've heard him speak to me personally. Now how can you say that that isn't real? That's as real as it gets :) I'm not at all angry, sorry if i sound that way. I will however defend my God to the end! :)

what proof do you have that science has disproven the existence of God? And how can they prove that their "evidence" is actual fact? Please provide proof of no God. Instead of believing something you read in a book, heard from a science teacher, or saw on discovery channel, take some time to seek God who is in fact the One who has known you from since you were in your mother's womb. I pray He blesses you and makes Himself known to you !

To everyone who doesn't know about The Basement, I urge you to look it up. I drove thirteen hours to go to the last service at The Cathedral of the Cross. It was totally worth it.

Yes! Everyone should DEFINANTLY come to the Basement. Matt Pitt is a very anointed person, and he makes it to where people young and old both can understand. The basement is definantly a place of praise and worship. They play this song every week near the end. I go every week!. I am proud to say that i am apart of the drama team. Check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will change your life!

Again, "I believe You will come like rain" is not to be taken literally. The second coming of Christ is never depicted as "rain" anywhere in the Bible. Also, regarding your thoughts on "rain" being a symbol for the Holy Spirit, there are many symbols used in the Bible to represent the Holy Spirit. Rain is not one of them. The dove is one. Others include wind, light, oil, and fire.

rain is espically in the old testerment;
'Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord; his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth" (Hosea 6).
and also the rivers of living water from the throne room etc.

I do understand what you are referring to. However, the prophet Hosea was not referring to Christ's return. The "malqosh" was the spring rain, which fell in March and until the middle of April. It preceded and promoted the harvest. Hosea was implying that without our Lord, we are simply dry and thirsty ground, in desperate need of Him. This "need" is incredibly on both sides, for He longs to come to you with the "living water". God will refresh us and bring a harvest of joy into our lives.

When you study the Hebrew words in Hosea you'll understand that the he is not talking about the return of Christ. Misty is talking about Christ in this song. She says "You'll make all things new". She's referring to Christ upon His return. So exciting to know that He will dispell all darkness with His glorious light.

You are right but this song is not solely about the return of Christ, it is also a prayer to encounter God NOW, for he will make you new. She sings let it rain let it rain in same content as songs such as let it rain, open the floodgates of heaven, rain down etc.

"I believe You will come like rain" is not to be taken literally. Misty Edwards is using symbolism. Also, she's speaking of the second coming of Christ not His life before His ascension. The lyrics are strong and Holy Spirit inspired. This song is nothing but truth and is in agreement with God's Word.

God is not mentioned The book of Esther but it is clear that God is involved in it. God created history and that means God was controlling everything that was going on in the Book of Esther. God would not let his people to get killed. So He used Esther to save the Jews, descendants of Abraham.

I was getting ready to hand out water for random people during the Republican National Convention in downtown Saint Paul and one of my friends from a mens group has the cd with this song and I got curious about it and wanted a copy of this song.
I first heard this song when myself and lots of others where praying and fasting and getting ready to walk downtown st paul to hand out water and say "God Bless You." I needed to know who it was. Love this song.

"Hallelujah you make all things new" is my favorite part of the song, and is a complete implication that the song is talking about Jesus Christ who said I go to make all things new... Hallelujah is also the highest praise reserved only for the highest name under heaven by which men can be saved... Jesus... so this song is a song about Him and no one else... And u can tell it was birthed out of a intimate relationship with God.

God means many things to different people and religions. Christianity is very clear -- it's Father, Son and Holy Spirit. For the Jews there is no Jesus.
The lyrics are not clear. All things are new because Christ died on the cross for our sins. He didn't come like rain. He died and rose again. Stronger lyrics would have proclaimed what Jesus did and it wasn't being like rain unless you consider the blood/water that came from Jesus' side when the soldier pierced him.

Hey, sorry but you do have one thing wrong there. Ever heard of a Messianic Jew? They believe in the Father, Son, and the Holy Sprit. Follow both the old and new testament, and etc. So there are Jews who do believe in Jesus, and I am one of them :D

Indeed a Messianic Jew believes in the Trinity God -- but typically when a person refers to a Jewish person that person is still waiting for the Messiah. I am glad that you believe as you do. The song still is fuzzy on Jesus though.

When the rains finally come, you just want to go out and dance in it, and let it refresh your spirit. You see everything come to life, new leaves, new grass, flowers. Just a warm new freshness...

Life has droughts! Jesus coming to quench that dryness in your life is what is what keeps people singing songs like this.
