@XBiteABulletX The initiating ability of HMTD is nearly an order of magnitude greater than that of silver acetylide, while Ag2C2 is more flame sensitive and has a shorter DDT run up distance, so I combine them in an explosive train to create more reliable detonators.
Ain't that a bit of a hassle to keep two primaries, one being more sensitive than the other? I don't know why you never embraced huge NPED advancements made this summer by me and freedompyro. I've yet to have a fail after like 30+ electrical and 20+ fuse detonators. I now use stainless steel tubing (0.7mm wall) for electrical caps and they are absolutely shagadelic. Small, waterproof, and deadly. Just how I like them.
