I tried this and it didn't work on my hair. It may work on some hair types and just not mine. I don't know for sure. It seemed to actually make my hair feel rougher and not smooth and silky. Plus the smell before you wash it out made me feel all gaggy.

@addyrain The Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine line makes my hair super shiny. I've also heard Citre Shine is really good.

Actually, the protein molecules in egg are too large to be absorbed by the hair, so unfortunately, the "egg makes hair shiny" bit is just an old wives' tale.

yess that is right egg is very good especially mixed with olive oil.And dear Chantel716 it is not the same as eating the egg or putting on ur hair.U get the results faster:) But the smell kills for 2 days u smell eggs:) so I try to not do it when i am going out!!!

no actually "foxxieluvv" you just you the egg white. the yolk is what causes the smell and the yuckiness everyone seems to have. the woman in this video wasn't clear when she made this video, obviously.

to get just the egg white you just seperate the egg. here's how you do it:

get out a bowl & 1 egg. crack the egg over the bowl but don't let any yolk (yellow) drop into the bowl. then just move the yolk back & forth in the two seperate egg shells until most of the egg white is into the bowl. then just whisk and put into hair. then leave in for a few minutes & rinse out thoroughly (:

I have been using eggs for years. I mix 2 eggs with a teaspoon of mayonnaise. I apply it to my hair and leave it for an hour and then rinse it out. Shampoo and condition, then style as usual. It really doesn't make your hair shiny, it just makes it stronger.
