  • Tt's an incredible, beautiful instructor to do headstand. Thanks a lot. i can feel it, that help a lot. Thanks again.

  • felt great! that plus tylenol lol

  • It felt like the blood was going to come out of my eyes while doing the headstand. The relief from all that blood going back to my lower part felt good. Thanks Tara

  • lol tara this routine saved my practice today, thank you! Teaching a class at 9 am the day after cinco de mayo was a nightmare and including some of these helped out sooooo much! thanks again!

  • how would someone who doesn't drink possibly know what's good for hangover?

  • I love this. It so works!

  • yeah if i did that i would vomit al lover myself. if i had a hangover lol

  • i think i'll just keep watching this when i'm real hungover :P

  • I had been feeling like crap all day but this feels like I injected mint into my veins. It's incredible, thank you so much.

  • I'm about to try that shit

  • Hey...I think you saved my life today :-)

  • i don't think i'd be able to do this if i'm hangover, i'll try some time and get back to you :P

  • love this routine....

  • Would you recommend drinking more alcohol while doing these postures?

  • My "hangover" was mostly attributed to the smoke I inhaled during the party. All positions helped and the side twists helped me lungs and I even sneezed. I like the more modified headstand information and will include that often in my routines.

  • wow my hangover completely dissapeared!! mwa

  • the twisting felt good but doing the headstand.... ehh made my hangover headache worse :?

  • Thank you so much.. I feel stretched, centred. makes your bowels kick in too which is never a bad thing etc..and now centred....off

Off to the Studio.More rehearsals. Thank you. You are wonderful..

  • Thanks, it helped! If anyone states otherwise, I'm pretty sure they didn't actually try it and are just talking through their hats.

  • yep....it worked....I feel better now...thanks

  • I wonder if there is a yoga routine for a crack hangover. I'm joking but if you're going to drink so much, why would you do yoga the next day. Have a bloody mary instead.

  • This is not a smart comment.

  • yoga is unity of body and soul and I am sure that any tool to achive this is yoga. Therefore this is tautology and screw you and your India roots.

  • To clarify Yoga is not the unity if body and mind Yoga is unification of the self with Bhrama, the all. Restoring and deepening the mind body connection is one of the step son this path. Asana on it's own is not Yoga but can be a step of preparation for the deeper more subtle practices. What is represented in this video is certainly not Yoga not even an asana practice. Shanti

  • So what is? Reading sanskrit and flushing the nose with hot water and drinking black tea? Come on get real.

Yoga is a holistic concept that unifies the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional aspects of the self so that the person who practices it feels in total balance and in harmony with others as well with his or hers enviroment. It is and Ayurevedic science that teaches us how to live and function in life successfully.

  • wherever you go. . . there you are. . . even in India.

  • Yes you are, in India or NYC. Shanti

  • damn I hate hangovers more than anything in this world!

  • id totally hit it

  • appreciate the video....i didnt quite have a heavy hangover (just three beers, a small sake and two shots of whisky the pervious night - with food and water in between) Nevertheless, it did make me feel slightly better. Would be nice if it the video had some more wake up / energizing stuff (for novices). Those black shorts from the morning yoga session would also help with concentration ; ) ......(srry couldnt help myself....) Cheers....

  • Thank you! This is definitely helping already.

  • get a life!

  • thank you so much!!!!!!

omg....i was weary of it working, but the results were instant!

  • i really dont have a hangover but u FINE

  • Thanks for posting-

  • I'm not sure If I would be able to perform this with hangover... Lying ang promising I would not touch the booze again is usually the only think I'm capable of...

  • HOT!

  • You're so beautiful.

  • i drank a lil too much last night! Let me go try this one out.

  • Very beautiful transition into headstand. Brava!

    Roman

  • I was doin' great until the headstand. I was still pretty wasted. I lost balance and crashed over into my entertainment center, breaking a glass door, my goldfish bowl and major league wrenched my back! Then I saw your other video for helping me with my back pain....That helped! THANKS!

  • lol

  • hahahahaha!

  • What are any of yall fav hangover cures? I'll try this one out...

  • drink plenty of water before and during your binge, this will help prevent hangover as it is caused mostly by dehydration.

  • Hangover, nausea, head stand...next?

  • Well.... Im Russian :) I do get hangovers..from tequila tho only.. In my case Votka just makes me happy.. ;P This is great tho. You do it so flawlessly. It's amazing! Thank You, God Bless, & Happy Holidays :) Katie :)
  • Nice yoga-dance at the end!

  • respect! - nice head stand. How long did it take you to be able to do that?

Well, last time I got drunk was 10 years ago. I tried to keep up with a Russian drinking Vodka - bad idea ;-). If I meet that Russian again I'll try to remember that routine.

    Happy Holiday!

  • and remember not to choke to death when you barf...

  • Thanks for you help! I don't drink but I need to do some head stands to get the blood to my brain!

  • LOL! Just be carefull, the oposite can happen as well. To much blood presure in the brain is not healthy either. High pressure is mostely best sensed at the eyes.

  • geez everyone is anti alcohol sheesh... But I bet the same people so strongly against it are the ones smoking massive amounts of pot on the weekend... All these strong opinions makes me want to pick up my bookwork from 1987 and go to bible study lol jk

Besides alcohol actually helps the body if you have a drink once or twice a week. Has positive sides to it.

Feel free to thumb me down as usual.

  • not me, i like to take a drink or 2 or 3 sometimes :). nice to know that i´m not alone ;). cheers.

  • FINALLY!!! Here's to Honor!! haha Cheers! Felt like I was in a WWII situation all by myself hollering out "flash"..waiting for someone to reply back "thunder."

Have a good Holiday. Say whats up to my boy Linus Torvalds if you see him out in Finland haha...

  • thank you and i will keep my eyes open for your boy over here ;) have a good holiday, cheers.

  • thank you Tara, i have a upcoming party so i sure will need this one :).

  • I only drink maybe 2 drinks a week - but, if ever I indulge - I'll consult the BEST!

  • Happy Turkey Day to you Tara. Keep up the great videos, incorporating some basic yoga I have learned from your clips has helped lessen my back pain.

  • I dont drink.

Poison isnt on my list of food and drink.

    You still rule tho.

  • rad. i don't drink either...much. but a lot of people do that could use this I hope :) alcohol is poison! :)

  • Well..judging by the other comments, it will be put to good use =P

    Be well.

  • its not poison, its natures gift to all of us lol jk It brings us all together for 1 night.

  • I agree alcohol is poison!

  • @TaraStilesYoga but poison can be good. The quantity is the important.

Buddha was quite a drinker, for those who don't know...

  • Five stars. Another useful fun practical one from Miss Tara!

  • Sickkk.... will be using this routine for the next 2 months...haha

Question: for the headstand, can I just lay on my back on the bed and have my head hang off the edge? That way blood will flow to it as well... I'm not to mobile the next day more of a vampire, I need darkness.

3 to 4 Advil's before I crash and see you in the Morning... Happy Holidays to you too!

  • Truly a Thanksgiving for the ages..Another vid for the 'Goddess Tara' playlist..Huh Huh

    Thank You God!
