  • I prefer this tune to the newer one..............as I children we had to sing this in morning assembly. I didn't like it then but I love it now

  • Hello. I didn't know you were on here. Is that you playing the organ? This is one magnificent sounding organ!

  • @kenpalmer1965 Yes, 'tis me playing. This video is before I got a wide-angle lens for the camcorder, so I'm just off the video to the left.

  • Another great favorite of mine! Your collection of vidoes is quite magnificent!

  • @kenpalmer1965 You're most kind - thank you!

  • This is precisely the version for which I was looking. Thanks for posting it.

  • @Aritul You're welcome.

  • What is the source of these non-traditional lyrics? I like them very much.

  • @everslaw

The hymn text is by Virginia Sargent. I'm no longer at the church so I don't have access to nor remember the source from which they came. They are a nice alternate text.

  • I love this hymn sung to this tune - so much nicer

  • I've never seen a Processional Cross with tassels.........

  • I wouldn't exactly call them tassels. It's draped fabric.

Thanks for your comments and for viewing.

  • As a church organist, I must say that you play exquisitely well, and I just love the stop registrations you used on the hymn. I like when other organists aren't afraid to "pull out the stops," and really build up the hymn and take it somewhere different in each stanza. Great job, I loved this video, and your playing as well! Bravo!

  • Great !

I wish we had some tunes like this one in France... :-(

  • You mean like:

"Il est ne, le divin Enfant", et

    "Noel nouvelet, Noel chantons ici"?

Merci pour vos commentaires et remercie pour regarder.

  • Yes we have some like these, but so much more that are very bad...

  • Well, julorg, you live right next door to Germany, which has very many great processional and religious hymns. Borrow a few of them.

  • Maybe you would like "Grosser Gott wir Loben Dich".

  • @ServusGrueziHallo The PECUSA hymnal has German hymns in it including some by some guy named "Luther" ;-)

  • thankx i really appreciate that one!! keep on posting the good stuff!

  • Thanks. Some other hymns posted recently with Bairstow harmonizations on the last stanza.
