Just bought First Encounter for PC on GOG. Great game.

Are the levels any different from the PC to this version? I already noticed that there are no treasure or chainsaw.

The main differences is the chainsaw and serious bombs in first encounter, and the inclusion of lives, treasures and multikills (which gives you a 1000 point bonus for each extra enemy you kill at once). The levels are basically untouched in first encounter. Second Encounter, however, is slightly altered, since the levels were too big for the XBox. So the levels were segmented into smaller levels, allowing for extra areas, like parts of the Palenque demo.

@elbryan42 Well... the Gamestop and EB Games I go to... ALL OF THE XBOX GAMES THERE ARE SCRATCHED... which is why I only buy my Original Xbox games from Amazon.com. I trust Amazon.

Hmm.. the only problem I ever had with EB Games was buying Max Payne for the XBox and them putting the PS2 version in the case. That was years ago. Never had a problem with a scratched discs, and I buy used a lot. I'm guessing it all depends on how much the people at that store location care.

According to the backwards compatibility list, Serious Sam should work. But I haven't tried it myself.

Nope, never played Alient Trilogy. Keep meaning to though.

As for the envelope, that means you have a new message. The game gives you information about the areas, the weapons, the enemies, and such. You'll see that it pops up usually when I kill a new enemy.
