  • are you aloud 2 use the office elevators??

  • ST-SD is down and SD-ST is up

  • ST-SD is down and SD-ST is up

  • How did you get to film if there were metal detectors? There weren't last time I went two years ago.

  • @tennisfreak2495 These elevators go from the skydeck entrance down to LL2. It's open to the public so long as you buy a ticket.

  • I HEARD elevatorsonlys sound!

  • hydaulic or traction

  • Traction

  • Do they still have metal detectors in there?

  • Yes. I wonder why they just don't get bomb detectors like the CN Tower.

  • Is there a security checkpoint in the entrance hall at the Sears (now Willis) tower Skydeck?

  • Yes

  • At 0:25 & 1:05, is it the standard Schindler chime?

  • @musicfreakcc

Did you mean there was security at the office elevators lobby or at the public skydeck?

  • @tennisfreak2495 There's both. To go to the skydeck, you have to pass through a metal-detector - usual airport stuff.

  • ughh even tho its correct it sucks to see it called willis tower

  • It makes me so angry!!! Way to go, Willis - you just angered the City of Chicago.

  • I know, and I will keep calling it the Sears Tower.

  • the street level is Level "3" or "4"?

  • It's the one that says street.

  • Where level "LL1"?

  • It's not served by this elevator.

  • OLD fashion S

  • Sears Tower - the one elevator you have to film.

  • Floor 99 is an alternate skydeck when the 103rd floor deck is closed.

  • LL2 is Lower Level 2, right?

  • Yes

  • Those elevators lead up to the lond line that takes you to the main elevator which leads to the 103rd floor and I always thought those were schindler too.

  • how do the ride attendants control the elevators, without anyone pressing the floor button and the door close button inside the elevators? I know at the Emire state building, they use a remote control, but I don't know about the Sears Tower though.

  • They press the floor button. Also, the only active door close buttons are located outside of the elevators.

  • Hmm they've changed those since I was last there. What did that sign say by the way?

  • I don't remember.

  • Fair enough.

  • So those are Schindler 500 moidel?

  • Probably modernized Westinghouse elevators.
