the ball was not firmly grasped, if you look at 2:00, you see that goalkepeer is not holding the ball, he just leaned one hand over the ball. the intentions of kerzhakov were obvious in my perspective and it really sucks that he got sent of for it. there was nothing dangerous in his tackle, no force, no intention to harm the goalkepper.

this is one of the worst referee calls I have ever seen. The Russian player tries to get the ball, not to harm goal keeper, and there was nothing dangerous in that attempt. On the other side the Slovenian player hits him while on the ground. Red card for Cesar, nothing more than yelloe or Russian.
