@THREEFLOORSDOWN1....When you equip your next BOB you may want to make sure that you are better camoed. Get rid of the shiny mess kit and cover the orange material on your pack. Other than that you are on the right track. Heck, just having the mindset to be prepared gives you nine points. Keep up the good work and thanks for the vid.
Nice camping set. Survival is skill, not gears. A skilled person can do just fine with a knife and metal pot/bottle. These are the skills i want to develop. ☆☆☆☆☆
It's so sad to see all these young kids waiting for something to happen so they can run off somewhere and survive who the hell knows what. Maybe you should concentrate on mending your arm a little more than getting ready for the end of all civilization(which will NEVER happen in your lifetime) sorry if that depresses you but you won't see it. No S is GHTF.
@cameraguy1968 It is sad but there's more than one way of looking at it. The idea of the bug out bag is to hope you never need it. It's also handy for keeping a lot of useful stuff you don't use much in the one place. Takes time to think of everything you might need in an emergency, even more time to find and pack it all, that may be time you don't have. If you live somewhere that's prone to natural disasters I'd say a bug out bag is a must.

here is my survival kit tell me if it is good or not and wat i need or dont need: a backpacking book, 5 ft duct tape, a decent hunting knife, mini mage lite, small button compass, box of 250 matches 5 fire lighters coghlans, snare wire, 3 small single blade knives, container waterproof matches, 3 survival blankets, 1 poncho, 5-1 survival tool, whistle, signal mirror, small fishing kit line and hooks, fire steel (army), 2 tea candles, led flashlight, moleskim. electrical tape and first aid kit
I've been watching you video for a while. I live in central Florida and its hurricane season 6 months out of the year. After watching your videos I now am prepared for just about anything. I'll make a video of my "oh sh!t room" full of supplies. Thanks a lot and keep the videos coming.
i'm workin on that! your biggest resource is your mind! i'll have some newer vids up in a few weeks & i'm ditchin the whole setup i have now. not practical @ all for myself. thx for watchin my vids
@missouribiker In the case of a bug-out situation....more is better to a certain extent, I carry quality items that are heavy if that item needed and is the item/items that will be used daily and expected to last sometimes the heavier items are the quality items such as a quality axe for example...would I use a light POS from walmart or a 4lb Estwing campers axe? Cant split wood with a broken axe/hatchet....That is just one example
@missouribiker Less might be better but it depends on the "mission" Are there many natural shelters and a mild climate then one can drop a tent and stuff. Are you gonna go from one shelter to another? the same. If you need it, ya need it. One must think troug it all. Stuff wheigs more and more :-)
@missouribiker Thats retarded to say this is too big, military men typically carry between 70 and 90 pounds, we will see who is crying for gear like an idiot when the shit goes down, it will be those retards with their 4 weapons and 20 pound gear bag trying to eat their gun powder.
@FamiliarSoul I believe the bag is made by Condor. I have one myself in digi camo. Picked it up at a gun show for $40. They're very similar to the Molle assault packs that cost $90.
get a rucksack form a surplus store, something with a frame, it holds your posture. also the bungee cords are a bad idea, if they get hooked on a branch your going to loose your kit. the frame might not be as comfortable right away but over a long hike your really going to swear by it.
the packing straps may be better, but if you use the bungee cords, when you take your pack off, you can use the bungee cords to make shelter, hang the pack from animals, etc.
I wasn't saying I didn't, but it may just make things a little bit easier and you don't have to waste paracord on stuff. It is better to use the things that are re-useable first, but that is just my opinion. Good video though.
dude if that mess kit is the same as the one i had ditch asap and get a military surplus one those ones (like you have) bend an warp with heat the wire handles berly support the weight of food or water
dude, the light flashing off of that messkit on the outside is going to give you away better than a flare gun. All the stuff on the outside is gonna fall off and get lost.
not sure how you pack your back pack, but by the looks of his pack, nothing is going anywhere. what this pack needs is a frame, its cutting off circulation in his arms because the weight isnt balanced on his hips. get an alice pack or a nice hiking pack WITH a frame. make your life easier.
it could be sintched down a lil bit! i dont like bags with frames very much. although ive not tried 1 since my arm got this way! i'm lookin to upgrade. this is what i started with cuz i had no camping equip cuz it got lost over the yrs & fell out of it. i'm doin wut i can
I love it man! I think this configuration is pretty good, it doesn't look to heavy nor too light. what would you say about using a army issued assault pack? too small maybe?
right now I am thinking of my bug out bagts comprising of a back pack and fanny pack. I think between the two of them I can make it work, but am also thinking I should just maybe go with the back pack. what do you guys think?
thats awesome i need to get a smaller day pack/go bag i already have a camping pack external fame its pretty good but itssss olllldddd..so yeah thats pretty neat!
Thats not a bug out bag its a day pack.A bob bag stays by the front door in case you must leave of fire flood etc. most ever thing to survive some where else your import papers pills food fuel stoves blanket water sleep bag tent money. You may have stay at a school or motel or a friends house or maybe high on a hill watch the world go down hill but you have all you need to get over it.
i've updated the bag. & for your info mine is hanging right outside in the garage ready to be grabbed. its still a work in prgress. everyone has to start somewhere. i have a seperate small bag that has extra food & papers & stuff were put together this weekend. so your a lil late with your comment buddy
the food & papers are seperate from each other ofcourse. papers are in a ziplock bags inside a Boot/shoebox with a handle so it doesn't come open. i'm gonna be working on
Great tips and ideas...though most are pretty common. The mess kit though is horrible. I saw the same kit at Walmart (where you purchased yours as seen in your other video) and it is barely durable. Very light aluminum...I accidentally broke the handle while looking at it at Walmart. I would suggest your typical military issue mess kit. Plus I didn't hear anything in any of your videos about a common everyday good survival knife. Flint fire starter would be good too. Overall - good vid.
Dude have you ever been in the woods. Buy a book, heal up, and stop spinning in a circle or someome may nail the other foot to the ground.Sorry that was painful to wacth.
do your self a favor bro take that mess kit and but it over a really hot fire and make all that shiny go bye bye. when you bug out you want to make yourself seen when you want to be not when your humpin down a trail in the woods
my bob is around 80+ pounds without water
