  • your flight attendant sounds hot

  • man, that is a long pushback!

  • Airtran has beautiful service

  • @legomaster335 not really, the flight attendants made me and 4 others up front of a boeing 717 and i still had a view of the wing but it was the front part (slats) I was quite comfortable with 24A as my seat and I got moved up to 17A because the lack of people on that flight.....

  • @DeltaFlyer69 it must not be the speedbrakes, it could be the pilot compensating for crosswinds.... and sometimes they use spoilers to stable the aircraft

  • Where are they departing from?

  • @guiqui5 - IND aka Indianapolis International Airport

  • I <3 this enigine.

  • why in the world would they use speed breaks during a normal takeoff?

  • @SouthwestFreak sometime the plane starts turning off the runway and sometimes pilots use speedbrakes to straighten it out with or it could be by mistake

  • @SouthwestFreak It is to counteract against the wind.

  • @nwa fan what seat were you in?

  • whoever is smacking their gum....FUCKING STOP GOD DAMNIT!!! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!

  • I worked for Airtran back when this Video was shot chances are I was the one that was pushing the Aircraft back. It was being Pushed back from gate C4 which on EMO's was a tough and looooong push. You can see the AA RJ as the plane is being pushed what you can't see is the WN 737 remote parked on the other side of it and the narrow alley you had to get this plane out of the gate and on it's way. I always loved this push in the morning because we often pushed onto Hotel taxiway Thanks for sharin

  • Nice video!

  • Looks like the old IND terminal, Concourse C to be exact. AirTran's gates in the old terminal were some of the old ATA gates.

  • u from indy cause if u r the new terminal is so much better than the old one, i think ind is the easiest airport in the country.

  • you passed up the departure check and FA check before take off....BOO!

  • nice VID......////

  • Great video! Do you remember what seat you were sitting in?

  • i'm flying to orlando in a month. my seat is 24F. I know i'll be by the wing I think. Now is my seat the emergency exit seat as well? I tired looking on their configuration chart i'm just trying to figure things out lol

  • I love this airline.

  • haha loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg pushback

  • @Boeing757luvr: I'll say!

  • I know one of the attendants, good video

  • awesome dude, AirTran is a great company, flying is just so exhilarating lol

  • terrible voice , of the flight attendatn far to rushed and not professional . like qantas. im sure you couldnt get any cheaper. her voice is draining , and piercing . yuk . very very common . but im sure she is a lovely person , she doesnt know any better . ha ha ha ha ha ha ha . i know they arent paid very well.

  • yeah, but if u were working on may flights each day, would you REALLY enjoy saying these long announcements "professionally"??

  • she is hopeless , it wouldnt be allowed on qantas. very common indeed.

  • she is bettr than some of them...watch i think its a Westjet fligh from Ft. McMurry to Edmonton...now THAT is a bad voice

  • Were you headed to Disney?

  • nice vid

  • cool vid

  • before this airline appeared the real name was ValuJet but they cancelled this airline so they made AirTran that is sooo much better BELEVE ME!

  • yeah uhm a LOT of valujets dc-9's crashed. thats why they cancelled it. thousands of people died.

  • good video but the gum smaking is really annoying and gross

  • HAHAH for real

  • @probiefireman09 Gumsmacking is funny but annoying

  • Great morning flight !!!!

  • At 2:04 why is there smoke coming out of the wing engine?

  • e new engine

  • Because its starting up.

  • Its like engine exhaust like your muffelor on your car

  • Due to engine start-up. The smoke dissipates about two minutes after the engine ignites.

  • Because they just started the engine :)

  • nwafan20 do you remember what seat you were in

  • wth? is it me or did the spoilers rise slightly on the takeoff roll?

  • spoilers? u mean Speedbrakes?

  • nah i meant spoilers. theres a difference. speedbrakes only increase drag; spoilers increase drag and decrease lift. its a common misconception

  • They can actually be called both, but spoilers are more common. The only reason I'd figure they were slightly deployed is because the PIC was performing a cross wind takeoff, in which you turn the yoke so the "low wing" is pointed into the wind and then you release the aileron pressure gradually as you rotate. When the yoke is turned past a certain point, the airleron's are fully deflected and the spoliers will also rise to assist. btw I am a pilot

  • must have been a strong ass crosswind if full aileron deflection wasnt enough

  • interesting theories but if you watch closely there is no aileron deflection.

  • yeah, youre right

    strange...

well, if the plane got off the ground, i would assume its not a problem...

  • i remember flying on airtran, those were good days

  • has anyone seen the new indianpolis terminal? is it cool?

  • sounds like a quiet plane

  • Very smooth takeoff..

  • i flew on that type from atlanta to san francisco

  • me too. Flight 39.

  • Flight attendant could've said Boeing 737-700

  • oh wow, ur literal

  • She said there are 4 exits on this Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

  • 4 door exits with emergency slides and 2 overwing window exits - she said that too

  • I've only taken Airtran from Minneapolis to Chicago. I'm waiting to see what they're flights are offered for june cause I'm thinking of taking Airtran to Florida. They're usually cheap.

  • u was on flight 409 to orlando in july.. it was great.. first class tho..

  • one of these months Im gonna be an airline piliot, im currently learning bout it all so hopefully with in a few months or so Ill be one

either ill fly for one of the major usa airlines

    like AA or NWA

  • was that in the morning or evening?

  • @Setka1982 Morning. The flight attentand said "Flight time en route to orlando THIS MORNING is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes."

  • Flight Sim X It a real one cool lol.

  • lol smoky engine start

  • thats not smoke, its the heat because it very very cold out, just like your breath in the cold, or the exhaust of you car on a cold cold day

  • i took Airtran to SFO from ATL on the 16 of July :) (i usually fly on Delta tho) cool video

  • they wouldnt put TV's for short flights...i dont think ppl will survive if theres no TV on like 10+ hours flights

  • whoever did the talking sounded hot..

  • haha yeah

  • Beautifull.

  • was the business class leather

  • yes it is on the 737, on the 717 it was cloth. I took airtran in april to florida.

  • this is the best aviation video on youtube, by far. thanks for the upload =)

  • god that was a long push back!

  • my god. i am the craziest fan of aviation and this is a great video dude ! but honestly that woman just wont shut up !!..lol... also umm im gonna be travelling air tran soon so do they have tvs in the front of seats ? thank you !

  • No TV's....but they have free XM Satelite Radio.

  • There required by federal law to provide that safety information. If it wasnt required by federal law im sure they wouldnt do it.

  • ok. i can agree with delta being better but the way i look at it, they are both airlines that r getting you to where you need to get. i would much rather fly delta tho, but it depends on the price.

  • and cost twice as much

  • APU sounds awesome!

  • let me guess flight 2 disney ?

  • No to naples

  • I'm flying airtran in april on the 737 down to Fort Myers. What do they do that people say they are good.

  • Well, she has to say that stuff. People have to be aware of what to do if an emergency was to occur.

  • This is one reason I love to fly

  • This is one reason I love to fly.

  • Longest pushback I've ever seen!

  • AirTran is way better then Midwest the numbers prove that.

  • Great vid!

  • An AirTran flight that didn't pass through Atlanta? They exist?

Luckily I don't have the opportunity to fly FL that much. Last time was back in August (07) from MCI/Kansas City to LGA/NY Laguardia. Delayed at least 2 hours in Atlanta due to "no plane" yet there were was an empty 717, our scheduled equipment, sitting in the gate. They finally let us board, same crew on my MCI-ATL segment. The "luxurious" humidified air system leaked over a few seats. I won't fly them anymore. GO MIDWEST!

  • AirTran is also hubbed in orlando...

  • if im correct orlando is where airtran started and one of its hubs

  • You are correct! Orlando is a secondary hub though.

  • Awesome video. Nice 737.

  • it took longer because there was another aircraft behind it so they had to move the airtran aircraft so it could taxi.

  • For some reason the push was longer than usual.

  • Airtran is awsome! ;)

  • Nice video

  • That flight attendant sounds like the voice on Charlie Browns phone "waa waa...waa waa waa waa waa"

  • LOL

  • omggg the engines were smoking

  • they smoke on start up....no big deal

  • I'm a Captain for airtran they always do that.

  • o sweet what do you fly? 717 or 737

  • I'm a mechanic for one of these puppies. If I had said, this 737 had a landing gear or engine change the night before. You would still ride this plane the next day if it was ready to fly? You will fly this plane without even knowing what it when through the night before.

  • i flew 1st calss with Airtran nice airline Hot f/a and nice crew...only thig is they over booked the flight so there was 9 standbys and we were 45 mins later getting into BWI

  • Is that Hubert H. Humphrey Minneapolis?

  • My father flies for Midwest, and he just told me that Midwest is oficially not going with the airtran offer. instead, they've decided to go with an independent investor, their planning to mergo by 08/15/07! Also, the investor has planned to keep Midwest functioning just as it is, and return it to normal management.

  • Yea, BUT those FUCKER AIRTRAN RAISED THE BID AGAIn. DO THOSE FUCKERS EVER QUIT.. GO TO HELL ALL AIRTRAN SUPPOTERS

  • Well, as of this week Midwest accepted the $17/share offer by TPG. Major funding is coming from Northwest Airlines, so we will see how that turns out.

  • u suck "fsx10133"!!!!!!

  • u suck!!!!

  • Uh Huh and y is that??? Midwest Airlines, can out do anything AirTran Can Do.

  • But RyanAir is well better than Midwest Airlines!

  • Wait is that a joke?

  • Where the hell did you get Ryanair? Nobody's mentioned them, and comparing them to midwest is like comparing it to Southwest. Midwest is a small airline that's just trying to stay alive, not make a market impact. While their fleets may dominat Midwest Airlines, Midwest will always be "the best care in the air".

  • TPG is the independent investor. The investor (TPG) has not stated their long term goals for Midwest, just short term (next year). They will not be able to merge until it goes through the DOJ (Department of Justice) to look at anti-trust concerns involving Midwest/Northwest (Northwest is a major investor in the deal) The management will be put into the hands of TPG and they can do whatever they want with them

  • what airport is that in the video?

  • Naw I Dont Think FL Will Buy YX--Im From MKE

  • airtran is not my favorite because of its fleet and that it always arrives late, but its a C+ airline in my opinion

ps that flight attendants voice is so nasal and high pitched

  • I am gay? and what does that make you?

  • AirTran Is bullshit. There a bunch of cheap people. DON'T Buy MIDWEST AIRLINES

  • THANK YOU!!! I like Midwest, with the cookies onboard!

  • Yea I Know Are you from Milwaukee?

  • No I am not, I am from New York, but I travel to the midwest alot, and make connections throughout the midwest with Midwest Airlines

  • Ok I see, if AirTran buys Midwest Airlines. Oh I don't know. But it will be bad!

  • haha, great.

  • I love the 737 and 717. Go Airtran!!

  • AirTran is a great airline. And about the lost luggage, you go find me an airline that has never lost a bag, then u can talk all the shit u want. deal?

  • easy, jetBlue, and Primaris Airlines! great airlines that never lost my baggage!

  • airtran is great i fly it everey summer to minnesota and the airliner is low cost but it acts like a high cost top of the line. i love airtran

  • i've flown airtran for years and i love them.

  • i know we just flew them the other day there great

  • airtran is gay

  • AirTran is a pretty good airline, I don't see what problem you have with them.

  • the problem is that they; run the hub-and-spoke system, loose my baggage, make unexpected stops, and of course, the crew, which is in-attentive. I guess I'm used to flying quality low fare airlines like jetBlue, or Song.

  • Remember the Jetblue meltdown this winter? It happens to every airline. I have never had a problem with AirTran, and Song doesn't exist anymore... Plus they were owned by Delta, and Delta is far from a quality airline.

  • well I mean jetBlue Airways for example; ok so they just messed up once, but they treat you like you are someone, and Song is actually an "invisible" airline, it is offered on flights more than 1700 miles, so it is still somewhat some good service. I mean airTran is just not my cup of tea, we all have our ways of flying.

  • song is delta airlines

  • This stuff happens on every airline at sometime or another you idiot.

p.s. what was "loose" on your luggage? the zipper?

  • Seriously? This is your response?

  • i like it
