I've gotten a huge chuck of my friends to read his stuff, and I always like to start them off with American Gods. Truly one of the greatest books written. Neil Gaiman is a freaking genious. Read this book over and over again. Someone really needs to make this book into a movie.
@mabtheevil Yeah I heard the news last week. I'm still in disbelief but I'm sooo happy. He truly deserves this. I've been all over that news since then and I can't wait to see who they'll choose for some of the characters.
His voice always reminds me of Alan Rickman. Not that that's a bad thing or anything. Maybe Alan Rickman's voice always reminds me of Neil Gaiman's voice.
Sam's Diatribe is so awesome. This is after Shadow is trying to find out if she will belive what has been happing to him. (Espeically after dealing with encouters with nearly forgotten Gods, and being employed by "Mr Wednesdsy")
i dont remember exactly but it was the girl that was related to the lady who lived near shadow when he was staying in that apartment in the toown with hinzelman (havnt read it in a while) i think it might be amanda
I love this reading - it is pure poetry - reminds me of Ginsberg's Howl in some weird way.

By the way, I was there at this reading. Sadly most of the people didn't understand a word. Italians...we don't often learn english :)
The worst is that the interpreter was an idiot and he used to change the meaning of Neil's sentences.

That's what I thought. I was thinking it might have been in the car on the way to the town when he meets her, but that doesn't sound quite right.

It's Samantha Black Crow.
I love this part ^^
dracia 3 years ago
You are both right. It was the girl known as Sam whom had tapped on his window when he fell asleep in the car and he later gave her a ride.
Which is the same girl who's related to his neighbour Marguerite Olson. Her name is Samantha Black Crow.
