why did the wraths replace the Spectre you need at least a challenge to have in Doom the wraths were funny because i telefraged it when he was spawning

wraiths don't teleport, they just turn completely invisible

But you can't damage them while you can't see them, so they must be more than invisible.

A walkthrough said it,I'm not sure which but it said something along the lines of 'contrary to popular believe by doomers,wraiths turn invisible and don't teleport'.that's what I can remember,it was a few weeks ago, and I was surprised,cuz I thought they teleported.I really need to get a life...

anyway the way I see it there are 3 possibilities:

1:the walkthrough was wrong

2:they're extremely hard to hit while 'invisible'

3:I have an inaccurate memory

...I'm going with the latter.

Yes you can, you just don't know where they are.

Nope, even the BFG blast's large area effect won't hurt them while they're invisible.

I thought you could, maybe it's just WHEN they're teleporting, while the lightning is still going on.

Yeah, you can still hurt them then. Just when they're completely invisible you can't, even though you can hear them moving. Strange things

actually, the very instant after they teleport, as son as they pop up again in front of you, before they even appear from thin air, you can shoot and it will kill them before you can even see them and they will turn to ashes. They are there once the effect of their little bodies appearing comes up, so you can shoot them as soon as that happens.

Closest thing I remember is in Doom3 where there's a guy on the ceiling who's ribs are sticking out.
