  • thanks for the info dude!

  • Could they have chosen someone better than this Redneck that can hardly speak a word of English and is making mistakes every 10 seconds?!

  • You don't have to strap everything onto the outside of an external frame pack. You could just get a bigger one and put everything inside.

  • "Hi this is John Stewart and this is the many different types and kinds of packs there are."

... Then you go on to show ONLY an internal frame pack ... WTF?

  • "The advantages of having an internal frame pack is that you don't have to strap anything on the outside of your pack"

I don't recall the pack police ever telling me I HAD to strap things on the outside of my external frame. You should be saying, the disadvantage of an internal frame pack is that you CAN'T strap anything to the outside of the pack (if you have to)

Not to mention comfort, better load bearing and durability. Internal frames are only great for a small subset of things

  • Rock on..good video..thank you

  • my ears are hurting from this dude's voice pitch

  • All you need is a pillow case and a stick.

    American Survivalist !

Crack pipe, Prozac, credit card. ipod and happy meal coupons.

    Good to go !

  • Both have advantages and disadvantages. IMO, if you're staying mostly on the trail and are hiking in good weather (or have a rain cover), external are better for the average user - especially for the money. They're not directly touching your back so you don't sweat as much and can ultimately hold more with all the lashing options available. Internal frame packs add more protection (as he said) and added maneuverability, but also hold less, cause you to sweat more, and are more expensive.

  • Not to mention the fact that external frame packs are getting harder and harder to find these days.

  • i got an canadian army external pack and it's quite awsum

  • Its a Gregory Z55. They are awesome! I just bought mine from steepandcheap for 97 bucks!

  • what's the pack's brand, urgent!

  • "Internal frame packs tend to be more comfortable than external frame packs" HA!

  • lol.. actually, it depends on where u r going..

  • ha internal packs are better

  • ha external packs are better

  • yes, I think so.
