  • Jonny is all over the place and goes off on one but still good...........when you listen to it live in person the reverb effect on the pop snare is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • I will eat you alive

  • I'm a die-hard fan and they are fucking amazing.

  • @Qenner i am also a die hard fan and this a absolutly fucking amazing!

  • I don't know why, but I always laugh at jonny's synth at 2:22

  • Radiohead, U2 and Pink Floyd. Best bands since the invention of the guitar. Yes, the Beatles were amazing and revolutionary, but that was in the 60's-70's. Saying that they are still the world's best band isn't right, seeing as instrumental technology has evolved massivly since their time.

I realize that all of this probably sound really messy.

  • greatest band of modern times, middle age AND stone age

  • jonny is a genius

  • who'dda fuck disliked this

  • I will Eat You Alive

  • this beyond music, it's godlike. Amazing song to hear live, I can only imagine it is an incredible feeling to hear this live.

  • I don't know about you, but I've always think that Hail to the thief is a superb album. I mean, just listen to this.

  • @Hianndryv its certainly underrated just like amnesiac both great albums with some great tracks on.

  • @Hianndryv

its a very under rated album to those who have early radiohead ears

  • @okcomputeA

I have to admit that this HTTT and specially Amnesiac where the ones that I lasted longer to really like. I thought they where really good, but after more listens they really blow me away ..... same has to happen now with TKOL I suppose

  • Follow me on twitter @AnAirbagSavedMe

I try to talk about radiohead as much as I can and i'm trying to get a decent following. It would mean a lot

    LONG LIVE RADIOHEAD <3

  • 4 People dislike this!!??? are you fu$king insane!!! That jonny greenwood is one sexy mofo!

  • Radiohead epitomise (excuse my spelling) what 90% of bands worldwide lack now.... passion from every member.

  • love the passion of Thom Yorke.....wait, did i say love?, I ADORE HIS PASSION TO SING!!!!!!!

  • OoOOOOOOOOooOOOOOO !!!!!!!!

  • Give`em a stone, a broken knife and 3 sticks and they touch ur soul with the best music !

  • best musicians in the world, look how the love 2 play

  • I can watch and cant take part

Where I end and where you start

Where you, you left me alone

    You left me alone...

  • you can't compare oasis and radiohead in my opinion cause there just to different but you could say radiohead evolved better musically but never the less I still believe oasis is the shit because in the early 90's england din't have anything coming out but oasis changed that radiohead didn't still both bands are dope.

  • I don't know what Ed is doing to make those wacky sounds, but its awesome.

  • " A formless music for the age to come. Or perhaps the last music on earth called up from out of the ashes of its ruin."

  • You left me alone. Radiohead left me alone with myself. That's so strange but so beautifull !

  • YES YES YES

  • I'm getting on a bit & think ''I've given time to almost every form of music from Disney to Death Metal. Thousands of LPs, CDs etc. heard them nearly millions of times. Never tire & always amazed at the genius of The Beatles & Radiohead.

  • Bassline fucking RULES in this song!

  • I will eat 'choo alive, I will eat 'choo alive, I will eat 'choo al-- NOM!

  • sometimes they are so good it's scary.

  • i despise NME, but they said one thing that really struck me. it was when oasis had split up, and it was after radiohead had played leeds festival. and the writer wrote "we have lost one massive british group today but never mind, radiohead have reminded us that this is their world all along".

  • yeah, sometimes NME reminds us that it hasn't yet lost the plot completely.

  • NME?

  • Yeah, enemy.

  • Oasis are only massive because they appeal to idiots - and yes, there's a lot of idiots out there. 95% of their fans think music began in 1994 and ended last year. They would never be able to get their heads around how good Radiohead are.

  • @bigdunk9 Oasis could never match Radiohead´s music. Oasis is basic sounds, with basic and simple ( but nevertheless) pretensious lyrics. It is simple music for simple/not perceptive people. If anyone wants an example, listen to any Oasis song, and then compare it with any Radiohead song that´s not from Pablo Honey.

  • @eazzy93 agreed. I don't really mind Oasis but they're kind of...boring? Plus Liam's voice is annoying. They never have and never will compare to Radiohead. I think people only put them together because they both became really popular about the same time.

  • YES... I hope the entire world could feel the same way. But there will always be the one brave (stupid?) enough to say Oasis is the superior band.

  • @KimdraculaM Your name wouldn't happen to be a Deftones reference would it?

  • @Edlamb0306 Aha, it is! good spot my friend, the 'M' is the added initial of my first name. Check my channel out for a few drum covers I have done!

  • @KimdraculaM Great covers!

Good to see another Deftones and Radiohead fan. Deftones said themselves that they had always wanted to tour with Radiohead, what a tour that would be!

  • @Edlamb0306 Thank you dude!

I know, I think the guitarist of deftones said he was heavily influenced by Kid A! Would be an amazing tour!

  • lol all u guys r right how come i never meet ppl who know this shit in real life

  • @robuzy exactly!!! RADIOHEAD FOREVER!!!

  • Fantastic!

  • camera sequences are waaay too erratic. way to ruin a great recording.

  • This Song Is a Fucking hell of an underrated ART ._.

  • agreed on every level of my being.

  • It's almost painful to listen to. I'm amazed at how good they are while at the same time it's sad that no one else even comes close. I hope they never stop making music.

  • thats true. there are a few songs of theirs that are hard to listen to because they are so beautiful or heart breaking. well more than afew.

  • the songs that are hard to listen to at first are the

ones that stay the coarse with me, the songs

i like instantly like are the ones i get tired of

hearing, with a few exceptions, like this song

    for sure !

  • @itchycitizen That´s right

  • Jonny @ 2:33 - 2:38...that's very much a profile of a mad genius.

  • This song is impressive like a thunderstorm.

  • 2:33 i love how Jonny is playing Ondes Martenot

  • 0:44 Colin is between Thom and Phil`s batery.... he is with Phil almost everytime

  • I'm not a die-hard fan or anything, but they really are fucking amazing.

  • You're right, they are on a completely different level. So much more evolved then what is out there today!

  • @Porkserloinburger I AM a die-hard fan and yes, they really are fucking amazing.

  • @Porkserloinburger

stuff like this is the reason i am a die hard fan. I listen to other music but nothing holds a place in my heart like radiohead

  • @Porkserloinburger you're a good man

  • @Porkserloinburger 85,000 sinners can't be wrong

  • Beautiful wailing Ondes Martenot (I think!) from Jonny! I also want a close-up of Colin! RADIOHEAD ARE LEGENDS!

  • where the fuck is colin?????

  • jonny is god!

  • where is Colin. can hear but can't see

  • Pure genius.

  • httt ny second favourite album of all time!!!first is ok computer!!!

  • He will eat us alive.

  • Such a good song title.

  • where i end you begin...

  • My favorite song of them!!

    It's very very good!

I read some informations about them and this song was made to dedicated to a friend of the vocalist band!

i think that's a nice move (if we can call it a move).

I hope they continue the good work. =>

  • Comment removed

  • defenitley! x

one of their best songs, i think, it's also highly under-rated

  • most of httt is underrated

  • LOL

  • I am a massive Radiohead fan and I rate this song more highly than quite alot of Radiohead's singles. It's brilliant.

  • totally agree. this is an INSANELY good song. one of their best without a doubt. X WILL MARK THE PLACE

  • dude i completely agree with the idea that this song is not the best, but karma police and paranoid android aren't great rivals. I'd say Let Down, Nude, Pyramid Song, How to Disappear Competely, All I need, and There There are better rivals

  • You've said that very well:

    "in my opinion"

  • What is a good rival to Climbing up the Walls I wonder.

  • Fucking love it. Nothing more to say.

  • same here. Actually I have a new favorite radiohead song every month and I've been a fan for years now =)

  • me too... but i am at the stage that it changes everyday! wait.. I´ve been at this stage for 6 months now! WTF?! LOL

  • I tried to hug the ceiling last time I listened to this song. Yes, I was doing drugs, but god damnit, it was freakin' amazing.

  • you say that like theres something wrong with doing drugs

  • nothin wrong with hallucinogens, heroin and coke are another story...especially heroin

  • I think it really shows how amazing Radiohead are that this song wasn't even on their "best of" album (I know, I know, it was Universal that brought it out and RH wouldn't have). One of my all time fave RH songs. brilliant,

  • Agreed. I love the bass.

  • no the rest of it is giving emotion that bit is a litte poo

  • no other band can make music as good as this.... truly unique

  • 100th comment for me. why does that stupid comment limit thing make the vid restart?!?!? the letters spelled "sigma" which was a bit weird

  • the drumming in this song is just brilliant!

  • shame on you, sir.

  • Its a manor of speech !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you say it often?

  • Yawn!!!!

  • I Agree, this is one of the stand outs from Hail

  • From 2:20 it's simply heaven.

  • POWERFUL!!!!!!!!!!

  • It worked Finally after 100s of attempts and creating a hateful message WTF pootube your drivin me crazy

  • xD a comment needs some hours to appear

    dunno why

  • Then you think it would post it 100s of times over like the times i tried it right......

  • Radiohead controls youtube, Radiohead does not approve of your hate

  • this is a mision of.... the karma police

  • Ouch a pyramid with even a lit up center cap eww...

  • funny how youtube wont let me state the fact that their playing in a giant pyramid at glastonbury with a lit up center cap upon top,in my own little way excluding swaer words too,Control Freaks

  • hmm wtf

  • let me post youtube ffs

  • Continuing with my previous comment: so that's why the music may sound out of tune because he is trying to evoke confusion and chaos. Such an awesome song: there's something about the drums and bass with the creepy textures johnny is creating with Thom's insightful lyrics. My fav Radiohead song after Let Down.

  • Digging your Let Down choice.

  • Everyone loves Let Down, it's simply genius.

  • Just responding to ppl talking about how johnny's part is out of tune or wrong. This song is about global warming, storms, and people lying to themselves about important situations etc. so obviously the lyrics concern powerful and confusing issues - thus the music is confusing or dissonant and thats what johnny is trying to create on the ondes martenot or whatever instrument he is using. Remember he listens to 20th century classical music like pedereski, ligeti and messiaen

  • All these Glastonbury performances are amazing! I wish I could have been there :(

    This song is great too

  • Hail to the thief = best album ever

  • true

  • fucking cool, fucking good, fucking inspirational.

  • i dont understand y everytime i see a vid for this performance the beginning is cut off

    its a shame really

  • Now there's a man that loves what he does.

    Thom York I mean.

  • If he was flat and out of tune the whole song, it was by design. ;)

  • Without a doubt Radiohead's most underrated song.

  • i'd vote for airbag but this one's still awesome.

  • I think hardcore-Radiohead fans usually gives this song the respect it deserves.

However, the rest of the universe needs to grow a freakin' brain, and start worshipping this song as well. I mean, it's perfect. It is a perfect song.

  • Agreed :)

  • this is my favorite song by them... another one is "reckoner", and "the gloaming". This tops them though

  • ur crazy theres no such thing as a "johnny fuck up"

  • not fucked up, just a little flat

  • I don't get why people get a thumbs-down for stating anything remotely against Radiohead which is justified because he is flat and out of tune the whole song. I love Radiohead but this is a very poor performance, it really is. People need to stop being so defensively anal about stuff like this.

  • thoms voice sometimes gets abit flat in a long gig, or when theyve been doing alot of recording. I still fucking love this performance though. If you want to hear thoms voice at its worst, its in their scottish mist podcast.

  • I totally agree. Thanks mate, I'll checkout that podcast :)

  • My current favourite 'Head song.

  • i have yet to see radiohead live, but im dying to!!!

  • Oh my God, they played this live at Vancouver yesterday and it was AMAZING!

Exactly like this version, even better may I say!

    Pure bliss!

  • I lOve RADIOhEAD

  • This song is wayyyyy better then people give it credit for it's great.

  • it's epic

  • jonny's parts towards the end are really flat... ouch.

  • defo, this song is possibly radiohead's most underrated song too.

  • HAIL TO THE THIEF IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS EVER RELEASED, DEFINITELY!!!

And this song is underrated as well, my God, is abs awesome!

  • it's my favorite song on the album, actually.

  • This song isnt the only thing underrated. The whole album is. Most critics and people consider it less than In Rainbows. I cant believe that. My heart goes more out to HTTT, amnesiac and kid a. But In rainbows is still a masterpiece, nonetheless.

  • please god let them play this at manchester

  • 'freddo92' is completely right, Hail to the Thief is brilliant, if you don't already have it you need it. Better than Ok Computer i'd say

  • im with you

  • totally.

  • This song is absolutely unbelievable, and the performance is heartbreaking. Hail To The Thief is such an under-rated album, there is some of the bands best work on it. Thom looks utterly engrossed, it's mesmeric.

  • once i meet thom yorke i will die a happy girl. radiohead = happiness and life

  • In just 16 days I see this legendary band live, and if they play this song I will simply die happy

  • legend ... wait for it ... dary ;p

  • combined together, can these guys play every fucking instrument ever created?

  • Radiohead magnifies every element of rock music I enjoy -- epic.

  • i love them...

  • AGUANTE RADIOHEADDDD!!!!!

  • johnny is a master in this one with the oscillators

  • Ah, wait a moment! Its Jonny, remember? The 'H' now belongs to Thom...

  • just tell me how can you be any better than radiohead??

  • Really good bands make music look so effortless.

  • unreal, they are awsome, cant wait till june!!!!!!!

  • Me neither! Going to see in Manchester are we?!

  • aye 29th, cant frekin wait!!

  • It's going to be legend, and if anyone gets to the front before me I'm going to have to start cracking heads.

  • That is bloody brilliant, I never fully appreciated this song before now.

  • foot tapping genius

  • this song just makes me feel so good, easily one of the best from httt.

  • The rhythm section on this song absolutely blows my mind.
