I'm forever a Beatles fan & now, a fan of yours as well! Delicious voice & equally fine arrangements, sir! I'm off to pick up the midi file you offered - be back soon! {Thanks!}
Wow, great reharm! I've been watching a bunch of your videos and I think they're great! The Bill Evans/Tony Bennett stuff is my favorite too. I've written a little list here of stuff from your videos I'm going to try out tomorrow. I've got to work on that the drop 2 voicings. You probably know the technique, but I often double the melody with my left hand in block voicings
My god this is dreadful!!! things like this give jazz a bad name. Those changes during the verse are diabolical and clash badly with the vocal.
This girl has got a great voice. What is she doing singing rubbish like this ? Seriously luv, you've got to tell the piano player if his *hip* jazz arrangement stinks.
Please scrap this mess and play the tune a little more like the original.
You complement each other so well. Michelle, your voice gives this song a kind of soul. The melodic changes and harmony sound perfectly blended. Thank you.
Whoa! Absolutely stunning. After watching it again, I tried improvising and playing some of those chords whilst watching the changes on screen. It fries my brain haha. However you cruised through those changes with ease. Such mastery demands respect.
Oh and Michelle the ad lib at the end was marvelous! 5 stars to you both.
How did you ever think of such a terrific re-harmony? It gives the song emotional dynamics where the original carried a consistent unmodulated dourness. It made the song live.
wow that's so nice... very intelligent re-harmonization.... would you please post an analyse to understand what and why you added mostly those chords like F/Bb ?? please
I love the vocalist's voice but her hand movements are beginning to irritate me. Sorry, won't stop me looking forward to more. I loves you Porgy was so good words fail me.
If I had to land notes vocally for this song using this very nice, but complex reharmonization AFTER hearning a diatonic "Rigby" a million times, I suspect my hands would be moving around too - with stress. The singer (who has amazing vocal tonality) did a swell job. Love the re-harm.
Wonderful jazz arrangement of one of my favorite Beatles tunes! Thank you for posting it.

Why do you think it's dreadful?
I personally believe this is a incredibly original arrangement, so tasteful.....

Great! The increased hiss isn't too noticeable. I like the new layout of keys, alot clearer than before.

I love this song and your vocalist she is not only a great singer but also a nice Woman.
The re-harmonization is beautiful and the transparency of the harmony is introduced perfectly with the sound of the Rhodes. Great Work!!
