  • Wait, if the shallow angle breakup theory is true, than the decks would be mangled upward, and the truth is titanics bent state is a result of the impact and pressure. Just sayin

  • @SuperPH34R You do know that gravity has effect on everything, right?

not trying to be smart here but you gotta think about the ship hitting the sea floor at a high speed, witch in theory, made the top deaks crush downward.

    Think before type.

  • The RMS Queen Mary was built even better than the Titanic and I don't think even she could withstand the pressure of that much water. Don't forget, it wasn't just the water itself that caused the separation of the Titanic bow and stern sections, it was the pressure of the stern rising without the support of the ocean water below it combined with the water inside of the ship that made it snap like a twig., That is like double jeopardy.

  • @Sarasdad91 That's right. The bow end of the ship was full of water while the stern was still holding onto it's air. The water that was inside the ship was so heavy, it was too heavy for it to go down in one piece. When the ship did break, it tore off most of the structure while above water and the stern fell back into the ocean. Then with the bow still sinking, it then pulled the stern to an even keil and broke off under water.

  • Finnish I love this language!! Cheers from Brazil :)

  • i think the movie was more accurate. the ship simply wasnt able to stay with the stern in the air and the ship finally gave up and she broke apart. and in the movie it also shows the bow didnt completely detach from the stern. the bow first dragged the stern up in the air, and eventually the bow completely separated from what was left of the stern.

  • @solve809 I completely agree with you on that.

  • i love smelling my fingers

  • wohoo! thanks for loading this, i've wanted to see this for a long time, but i always forgot to look for it. now i found it AND WITH HD AND FINNISH SUBS, DUDE YOU'RE MY HERO!!!!

  • The special is fine for its time, but it more scolds the testimony than supported why they saw what they saw, stating that even though they say water met past amidships, their eyes lied to them with all three or four funnels standing above water at a very tiny angle. At a very close distance and sharp angle from the ship, Fredrick Scott stated that the it broke, then the stern lifted and righted afterwards. A select few at a similar close distance support his claims.

  • The keel didn't smoosh together though, just it unhinged and lifted and wedged itself into the end part of the bow.

This accounts the 15-30 second hang, which was depicted by testimony and the films, as this is impossible intact. Ships don't hang motionless for THAT long a time, so long that people think it up to 5 full minutes. The stern became the new foundation for floatation and central pivot as the bow bend down into the sea. After angling downward, it takes the stern with it.

  • Even Ballard stated the ship broke in part of the keel snapping. He never put it as cracking from the top down, just that it would likely open up at the after joint. The ship didn't crack open like an egg. There are S-shape bends in the keel, with other compressive forces. The ship gradually hogged apart and plunged at the same time.

People stated water neared the after funnels first, before righting like a quark, as seen here at 7:43, only its at too high an angle. Should be like 7:38.

  • I believe that this is exactly how it happened and that is the reason why a great number of survivors testified that the ship sank in one piece... they simply didn't see it breaking apart, because the break-up started at a shallow angle and actually progressed under the waterline...

  • u gotta be an idiot to dislike this video!

  • @LILLO84cute4girls agree.

but you gotta be also one if you believe that story about the shallow angle.
