  • You wanna know why this is my favorite zombie film? Because I, too, am a college student! I understand the importance of keeping spare food in your room!

Damn, if I had the cash = boxes and boxes of food/water!

  • Overall I like the film. There were a couple of times where I noticed someone smiling. It seems like really you guys just wanted to film a video and have fun with it, which is what it looks like you guys did. So keep up the great work.

  • Effing sweet!! Do a part 2 just for a hell of it!

  • the cinematography was very good however i think the acting was a bit..mediocre

  • Hello!

  • "Possible rescue"

Fuck that, its time to get the hell out'a dodge!

Brillinat, I loved every minute of it!

  • hey..it was amazin..Do you aspire to be the next spielberg, make your film available to the opinion of veterans in the field who will give you constructive criticism and show you a clear direction

  • down with the fucking sickness. that was a good short film

  • love these short films... keep them coming!!! keep my zombie fix going in between lame romero flicks

  • What kind of camera did you use? And what was the cost of it? I'm trying to find one that's fairly cheap. Nice movie. :D

  • @Pickles426 I used a PD150 for this one. It was the school's camera so I'm not sure the cost. I wouldn't get it anyways. It's SD. If you're looking for a digital camera your best bet would be one of the SLR's. I know Canon's T2i is only 800 bucks and as far as I know it is the best bang for your buck out there. Shoots very well in low light and of course its HD. Can also shoot 60 fps for your slo-mo money shots.

  • dude i loved the way you have it put together... great job :)

  • I've been watching a lot of no budget zombie movies on here for research and I just have to tell you this is by far the best zombie short I've seen yet. Awesome movie. If you get a chance to redo it at some point in the future make it a little bit longer - this is quality moviemaking.

  • wow this is good :) one comment atf 1:49 there is a major line cross, i got confused with the shots. other than that great!

  • Wow! That was awesome!

I've got a Zombie short too! It's got a hot chick in it! Check it out!

    Desert Dead

    -S

  • cool

  • Great film dude, very 28 days later, I think there should have been more blood and better acting though...

  • i like it

  • lol, that sucks (not the vid, the quick zombies and even quicker turning) but that kid shoulda known, always have a knife or a gun with one bullet to off yourself BEFORE they get you. or at least jump off a building and have fun with it. but great vid man!

  • I was VERY surprised man! Grade A stuff! Even if the acting wasn't top notch, it's a story that makes a movie IMO. I'd pay to see a sequel.

  • Thats such a class zombie film,

I have to made a short movie for my media class so it inspired me,

    well done:)

  • I enjoyed it, Nice work, although the crowd didn't seem very 'scared' when zombies were entering the hallway. But that is the price for having a small/nonexistant budget and using friends as actors ;) Hope to see more!

  • Nice vid...I liked it. I ain't saying: a few mistakes and dialog was pretty weak and acting was kind of bad cuz you guys are not columbia pictures...Good Job

  • zombies cant be choked to death even before transforming otherwise good job

  • @superchris2333333333 true... unless he was never a zombie.

  • wtf, how the hell would you know?? i hat it when i see people writing stupid ass comments like that, as if they know exactly how to kill something that doesnt exist! You shoudl be watching the video not picking holes in it, douche bag!

  • i agree with the logic, but i do have to say that zombies are real... if you go by the description of died and came back, then anyone ever defibrilated is a zombie XD

  • ya they can, not after turning but as long as they are human, if they die first, it stops the infection

  • Hey i'm looking to go to a film school so if you could send me some info on your school that would be awesome!

  • hey that was a really cool vid bro. quick question. how do u like point park? im a junior in highschool right now and live in pittsburgh and have been looking for good schools that have film.

  • this ia awsome. im writing a short film myself

  • Dialog was pretty weak. Some shot choices were kind of awkward. But it held together. Not bad.

  • I hear you, everybody reacted like normal to the zombie attack. But also the acting was kind of bad. Specially fat guy with glasses.

  • harsh 28 days later at the end....LOL which i watched the other day..not a big fan

  • I loved it.

  • helloooooooo

    HELLOOOOOOOOO

    HEEEELLLLOOOOOOOOOOO

Nice movie, this is geting a five star man

  • the end scared the crap out of me

  • Good video. At 3:55 i thought torchwood

  • good filming and editing but the acting was not very good

  • Nicely done!

  • the story was good...

  • well done

  • fantastic

    one guestion though,

why did he choke his friend?

unless mabye i missed him get bitten or something..

  • The scratch on the arm

  • Very nice and atmospheric

  • Hahaha, "looks like theyre the fast kind."

  • that sounded like they had slow kind zombies before...

  • i also really liked the camera angles. those were really really good.

    XD

  • the beginning wasn't so great. i think if they saw something on tv and the camera saw wat was happening on tv. (reporter going on about the infected). The acting needed a little more improvement. and the part where the guy turns, i could tell where you cut it. However, i really did like the story plot. and the story is a very key component.

  • Imitation, not creation. Second half was stronger than the first. Sound is very important. What happened to it?

I did like the shots of the empty streets.

  • good job

  • AMMMMMAZING ending!!!!!

  • man i like the old slow kind, asome vid though 5 sarts

  • impressive video (:

  • fucking nice

  • that was good. but the acting wasnt that believable. but ya good writing

  • that was the best zombie movie made by normal people not major movie producers! five stars

  • dude!! the ending was awesome but depressing at the same time!! never give up. rescue ur damn self lol

  • Someone likes 28 Days Later a whole lot, huh? I liked it though

  • that was sicknasty brohas

check out zombie killing with lightsaber movie yeah

  • stop making scary videos.

  • This was great! Thank's for sharing.

  • Loved it :) Great job

  • truuuthhfully it was pretty cool but kinda stupid at the same time

  • Great ending man!!!

  • I know student casting isn't always A-list when it comes to acting but come on...the 5 a.m on a wednesday $40 budget commercials have better emotion.

Well shot, but being a student film doesn't quite save the bad acting.

  • acting was alright...I mean it'd be a good movie if the sorta mid-begging and stuff was fixed, but I have to agree with the last guy ending was awsome, in all I give it 3 1/2 stars

  • I loved it! This was great, good ending, but I'm surprised as always, that people are able to hold someone against a wall, by the neck. It's kinda weird.

  • that was a good film i liked it

  • that was reallly good. two thumbs up

  • wow!

that was awesome and had a twisted ending!

  • That's how to do it! Your best bud gets bit? Off him quick! He'd do it for you.

  • nice video! i've got some similar videos check em out if you have time!

  • nice!

  • I got a bit scared at the end, becose i didnt expect it!

  • NICE

    cool ending

  • Awesome Acting!!!!

  • very good we need a part 2

  • EXCELLENT.....A++

  • nice! really enjoyed it

  • thats a brilliant ending :)

also the music when the zombies get in fits really well :)

  • i like everything about it except the beginning part where the gay guy in the glasses explains the situation

  • Awesome film :-D. Maybe if they replaced the Pirates with some of these zombies, they'd actually start fucking winning haha.

  • Got to say a damn good one.

  • I'm impressed :)

For an indie film you got an impressive cast and i think it's alot easier to make a more atmospheric Z film without using as much gore.

Very Danny Boyle/ Dead set camera work which is good cause tbh i prefer them to Romero works.

I'm hoping to be filming something similar soon :).

But seriously great use of music and generally dead good effort guys (Y)

  • There were some obvious Danny Boyle/Anthony Dod Mantle fans working on this, weren't there?

Liberal use of tilt angles, twitch editing, etc.

Pittsburgh's always been a good city for the '28 Days Later' scenario, and you guys did okay with it.

  • great flim

  • awsome job on the movie

  • loved it!

  • good film man

coulda been a bit better but as a student casting always sucks!

nice makeup effects for the budget as i presume you had no budget lol!

  • i think it's a pretty universal to have a fear of fast moving zombies.

i love the overall look of the film, let alone the camera movement. a great student film homage to "28 days later". your production design is on target; very believable. great job.

  • oh god i cant take the accents lol

  • I love this movie.

Good work Mac. When I saw in this class, I think I've mightve orgasmed.

    Twice.

  • When I saw that "Adagio for Strings" was on the play list I was like, what the fuck? But it went really well with the scene. Good job. Like the music you put on the film.

  • Thanks, I think many of Tiesto's tracks have a cinematic quality to them.

  • Yea, my friends and I are trying to make a zombie short too. Right now I'm still compiling a list of song options. I hope you don't mind if I steal "Adagio for Strings" because that excerpt you had was really good.

  • the end is the best

  • Great job! Love the music too!

  • finally a zombie movie where the people involved know what a zombie is. *major props*

  • It annoys me when I see that.

  • LOL...

    Yet another VIRUS eh.. Sigh.

    But so funny...

A virus that is showing symptoms of "The Rabies" LOL.. "ZOMBIES?"

    haha

  • I originally was just looking for Noa Assembly - Into The Fire but this video was pretty sick for youtube man.

  • Nice! really well shot, I didnt like the techno music so much but other than that it was pretty fucking good. keep it up.

  • Zombies... happens all the time around here.

Nice use of halloween blood/gore material, it was pretty convincing stuff!

  • I like your soundtrack, JES & Tiesto!

  • M.A.C. you have a natural talent. Your maera work and story lines are great. Each one of your video's leave me wanting more, more, more! One day I am going to watch one of your movies in a theatre with long lines going out the door! Hurry up with your next creation.

    Carp the Pred from NC

  • Hey M.A.C. I'll say it again, you have a ton of talent. Can't wait to see more. Your mom's pred friend!!

  • OMG!! This was awesome!! I loved it!! You are really talented!! 5 stars from a ky web pred!!

    jackie

  • That was awesome man. The cinematography was definately the strongest point.

  • I liked this a lot! 5 stars.

  • nice

  • mac, that was awesome. im really excited towards you.

  • Another rousing success from an up and coming film-maker! Lots of nice touches added since I saw the rough-cut a couple of weeks ago. Excellent shots, angles, variety, etc.

I love you too, sweetie! Mom

  • Niiiiice duddde. It came out really well. I like the sound effects right at the end.

"Yeah... looks like they're the fast kind."

"Dang! I was really hoping they'd be the slow kind!"

    Hahahhahahaha. I love you!
