  • just downloaded all programs using windows vista. inserted madea's latest movie and it would not download. any suggestions? thanks

  • Super usefull bro. Thanks so much!

  • best i've seen thanks a bunch.

  • thanks alot. but when i press start. should there be another window open on the name of virtualdub? thanks

  • Great help, thanks!

  • Hey m8!

Everything worked perfectly but I have a slight problem/question. I tried to convert an Iso file which I mounted with Poweriso and this videofile were a "retailrip". This means that you can choose what subtitles you want and scenes etc. Now to my question: Is it possible to "merge" the subtitles into the file so I can choose what subtitles I want when I watch the movie on my TV for example. I haven't checked myself because I didn't want to F*ck the file up :) Thx in advance

  • I didn't even need sound for this, you were very clear on what to do! Thanks!!

  • The instructions in the video were well presented...simple and easy to follow.

  • Amazing tool that works! I tried other 'free downloads'...but failed to complete. Thanks !

  • Oh, your Australian... Down Buzz, lol. Oh well, your video helped alot. Thanks...

  • well when i click open disc, my movie isnt there...

  • Thanks very much for this. I've tried lots of free apps in the past with no joy, this worked a treat!

  • Very very simple. Thanks so much.

  • Very clear and helpful. Screen shots are a little smaller than I'd like, but it was still clear. Thanks!

  • "DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.Invalid DVD navigation structure" It's not a movie, so I dnt think this is a copyright problem

  • @smart2mill I get an error too, "Failed to read D:\ (Data Error) cyclic redundancy check"

  • @unpossible890 virtual dub is a program that autogk uses so don't worry.. Also u will know when te video is finished as autogk will say job complete :)

  • Thanks for the video!!!

I have something called virtual dub mod that pops up, is that suppose to happen and if so what does it do?

Also how do i know that it is finished converting to avi? Thanks =)!

  • My computer won't even recognize the DVD now. It did before. But since I installed AnyDVD to allow DVDShrink to work, my computer suddenly won't read the DVD.

  • Man, you say 'basically' alot!

  • This was a great help, been trying to find a simple way to do this for years!! Thanks

  • @AurumStudios My pleasure! Glad my video was helpful =-)

  • 2nd link is not working :( keeps saying Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to and I tried all 4 mirror links

  • @mzmiami77 HI I am so sorry! to all users that have tried the link. I have found another download and updated the links!! Cheers!

  • 2nd link is not working~!

  • PLEASE TELL THE LINK TO JK PLEASE

  • When i open up the DVD shrink and click open disc, it says that its analysing, but then it just does nothing. When I click cancel the whole program stops responding

    help pleasee

  • Aw, my comp is so slow it takes almost two hrs to rip... more than the time it takes to watch these things :)

  • great job! very useful indeed. what screen rec program are you using btw?

  • Hi, once I hit start with Auto GK how do I know it's running

    please?

  • @phuketboris1 plus one to a loading bar required, otherwiese you have to look in the bottom left - "Log window" and see it change really slowly.

  • Thank you, the instructions are really clear and easy to follow.

  • First I thought it s a German accent ...

  • I like your accent ! You re a brilliant instructor :D

  • I notice that when you rip you are left with one file to put into AGK..every time i rip a dvd i am left with 3 files VIDEO_TS, VTS_01_0 and VTS_01_1. i have unticked "split VOB files into 1GB chunks" so why is it i am getting this?

    Thanks

  • This worked perfect for me thanks sir!

  • hi i am looking for free program that lets me play audio file in reverse to study reverse speech if you know of any it would be big help

  • thanks mate

  • Very good thanks for you help!

  • Hi, thanks for the video. Very easy and straight-forward. I'm having trouble with the audio. It doesn't match the video. Suggestions?

  • @untoqque to match the audio up to video use vlc media player and AVI-Mux GUI, both can be downloaded for free

step 1: watch the movie in vlc media player, there is an option in vlc media player which allows you to match the audio up to the video by delaying or advancing the audio, so for example the audio might be behind the video by 500 miliseconds so you plus 500 miliseconds. (+500 ms) or maybe its past the video so you delay it by 500 miliseconds (-500 ms) ...step 2 coming up

  • @deadcarrot360 thank you.

  • step 2: after you have synced it in vlc media player either forward or backwars (- 500 ms) (+500 ms) remember how many miliseconds like (+200) or (-200) whatever it is. then go into AVI-Mux GUI and drag in the avi file and delay the audio the desired amount. done, sorry if i wasnt very clear

  • hi the following message appears when i try to do the second part.

EXCEPTION: Cannot open file "C:\Users\paul\Desktop\MOVIES\agk_tmp\interlace.log". The system cannot find the file specified

[2/09/2011 7:20:39 AM] Job finished. Total time: 1 minute, 35 seconds

    how can i fix it?

  • Thank you! That was a great instructional video.

  • The sound was messed up once finished. Instead of the normal audio, it was high pitches noise. D:

  • @Masterr59 hi. Try another DVD movie. See if it happens again. If that does not work then reinstall autogk

  • auto GK link seems to be down :(

  • @Freud Thank you for letting me know :-) I will fix link ASAP. For the moment you can google auto gk and find it that way.. Regards. Addo

  • Thanks a lot! Very easy to follow.

  • @jenhm83 no problem

  • Thank you !!!!

  • @KonnerupVEVO no problem :-)

  • Great video! One question: You didn't mention the VirtualDubMod step. Is this a necessary step in converting the rip to avi? It takes a really, really long time.

  • @Le1gh yes for autoS to work it does use a couple of other programs [these are installed when autoGK installs]

  • links are not working to download autoGK

  • Extremely helpful. Thanks. :-)

  • thanks

  • Thanks your guide helped me lots. Good job :-)

  • The sound quality of the AVI is really poor. Is there something that I'm missing or doing wrong?

  • The sound quality of the AVI is really poor. Is there something that I'm missing or doing wrong?

  • This helped a ton. Thanks!

  • Thanks for your tutorial. But what about the quality of the output file?I've noticed that the video bitrates of vob files are very high compared to an avi bitrate.A vob file with a higher bitrate than an avi file can have a lower picture quality than the avi file wich has a lower bitrate. For example a vob file has a bitrate of 3700 kbps.I asume you dont take the exacte same bitrate when you convert that vob to an avi. That way you can have an avi thats maybe of a bigger size than the whole dvd.

  • So I recorded my xbox 360 gameplay onto a DVD. If I follow these steps, I'll have a file I can upload straight to YouTube?

  • @xXG3TxB1GXx Should be able to :)

  • Which converter do I use to converter VOB's to Avi or Wmv? I'm using 1 Click Dvd Pro which burns Dvd's to Vob files. All these converters are confusing.

  • Thank you so much, i spent days looking for Xvid movies but could only get an ISO one. and i followed these steps. thumbs up from me. thank you so much again buddy!!!

  • when i converte dvd with dvd shring i got a same think what is on orginal dvd

i dont know what to do

  • @FanSlash00 You will get a VOB copy of what was on the disk. If you copy my directions properly then that VOB file should only be one piece with a fairly large size (a few GBs). Once you do that then you need to open AUTOGK and go from there..

  • Hey good i´m so thankfull i try searching so many time to put a movie li that

    thanks

  • @TheJDIPAD No problem :)

  • I have a dvd of a music group I played with. I want to be able to post it on youtube. Can I do what this video shows to get it on my computer and then be able to edit it and put each individual song on youtube? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

  • @clewi1091 Yes for sure.. Once you have ripped it to AVI then you can edit it as you like and put it on youtube.. I don't see a problem with doing this :)

  • @addoaddo14 I finally got everything figured out and got the music videos posted. I posted 10 individual songs yesterday. It took quite awhile to do it but it worked.

good to listen to an aussie accent for one too

    :D

  • @kingbob182 Thank you :)

  • Dude it works, awesome! It just takes a shite load of time to convert it with autoGK. One question though-how do you rip a dvd which is stored on comp? i have 2 live shows and i want them converted to lessen the space they use on harddrive

  • dude you converted it one by one - those files in dvd section, and when you convert them how do you put them into one file? you know to one movie or whatever file, not many separated

  • @pumpazabicikli You did not follow the directions properly.. If you do what the video tell you to then it will rip it in ONE file then you can convert it :D cheers

  • p.s you sound like pugwall summer

  • dvd shrink wont copy new dvds so you install dvdfab, rip the dvd if shrink wont then once its ripped, rip the rip using dvd shrink to get it to rip the movie into one file cos dvdfab wont.

  • Thx! very good advice for a dvd to avi!

How will i know when its done as it doesnt have a completion bar to tell you how long or anything, and i have a basic comp and its barely taxing it, is this normal?

  • Top man, nice one. Very clear, easy to follow instructions. It all downloads and works. Encoding now. Thanks again : )

  • thanks

  • I do think this is a long ay round have you tryed downloading Need4video as with that it is one click. put film in drive push convert pick AVI go but thank you for this will use as a back up . . . .

  • Comment removed

  • I'm trying this now. Is AGK supposed to take forever? Granted I added 5 jobs so i dont know.

  • Thanks mate this was good.

  • @jashellroy No problem at all and im glad this helped you

  • ugghh... says its not compatible. Wth?!

  • avi does use alot of space avi is uncompressed dude thts y if u make a video in sony vegas pro 9 and render it as avi it will b from 1-2gb coz its uncompressed so yeah but with videos downloaded from the net of converted i agree with u but just make sure u say stuff correctly bro nice vid tho

  • @MADagain321 yes it does take up space but compared to a DVD image or even just a image of the movie AVI is much better as far as how much space it takes up.

  • BTW IT DEPENTS ON THE SPEED OF UR DVD DRIVE NOT UR COMPTER sry for caps

  • @MADagain321 The only thing that depends on ur DVD drive is when you use DVD shrink to rip the DVD movie from the DVD to your computer. The whole converting process has nothing to do with how fast your DVD drive can read or write. Your HDD write speed would influence how fast this happens but not your DVD drive.

  • I did it!!! thanks a million

  • when i click start on Auto GK it comes up with a message saying that its in the wrong file format or something

  • i did all this but then it says it has a problem when i start the AutoGK process
